Help me plan a party for the number 11 - on 11/11/11

We are going to WDW for Veteran's Day weekend as my favorite number is the number 11 and I decided last year I wanted to have a party and celebrate the number 11 at WDW. So now it's getting near, so I need to come up with some fun things to do all about the number eleven.

Here's what I have so far - and I'd love your ideas and thoughts about other things to do. You do need to know that we have season tickets so we can park-hop, we are staying on property at Saratoga Springs (yay, DVC!) and we have lunch reservations at 11:30 at the Liberty Tree Tavern (as that's as early as they have dining).

So, we plan to go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning until at least after lunch and then have a rest and head over to Epcot later in the day. It's the last weekend for Food and Wine Festival and we haven't been yet this year, and our older son has requested we stay late enough to watch IllumiNations.

With that in mind, I'm getting the Epcot portion figured out as there are eleven main countries in World Showcase so I thought we should do something in each country - such as:

America - take a picture waving 11 flags
Norway - kiss 11 trolls
Mexico - wear 11 sombreros
... you get the idea. So I need ideas for the other countries: China, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Japan, France, UK, Canada...

Also ideas for the Magic Kingdom - although maybe we could make the Magic Kingdom portion be about Veteran's Day and patriotism.

We're planning to go to Hollywood Studios on the 12th for the first part of the day and then back to MK for the late afternoon / evening. We have breakfast reservations for Whispering Canyon on the morning of the 13th.

Being what the 11th is, have a 11 seconds of silence at 11am to commemorate the true meaning of the day in the Observance of Remembrance. If you do this at the Canadian or UK pavilions you will have CMs who will understand and if allowed may follow your moment of silence.

Germany - buy 11 German candies
France - spray 11 guests with perfume (ok, not really - still don't know what we'll do in France).

For Magic Kingdom, get picture with 11 different characters.
Trade for 11 pins.


We are having lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. Dinner will be booths at the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. End the day with Illuminations.

This thread made me realize that on 11/11/11 there are 11 of us staying in a GV!! And this 10 day trip would probably cost 11 million dollars if we didn't bank, borrow, beg and steal points!

How about playing 11 drums in Africa at AK? By Africa, I mean that cool station in Epcot.

Ah, I got moved so I couldn't find myself!

But here it is - 11/11/11 and we're over half-way through the day. We spent the morning at Magic Kingdom. We were just exiting from Pirates when it was 11:11. We took a moment to reflect on Veteran's Day.

As for the number 11, I bought eleven different flavors of jelly beans from the candy shop, and started on my quest to get my picture made by 11 different photo pass photographers. They have snapped more than 11 pictures already. Still have five more photographers to get but we're heading to Epcot after a rest this afternoon.
