~ without the girls!!

My mother is planning on coming over on Saturday night during our stay to watch the girls. I currently have CG reservations for 4 (which I would need to change had if we keep).

I kind of would like to try something different and maybe go to PI as well. DH piped up about the fireworks. Meaning he would like to see them. Wishes is at 10 and Illuminations is at 9 that evening.

I can cross of dining at anywhere in:
AK
MGM
MK (gotta have liquor on an adult night out!)

So that leaves the resorts, DTD/PI and Epcot....

oh what to do?

Hi lillygator! Haven't seen you on the monorail drinkathon thread in awhile! I checked out your "bad girl" trip reports...too funny! You are so pretty, BTW...LOVE that hair! You and your DH remind me SO MUCH of my DH and I...we need to plan a DISmeet sometime. We have a DD7.

Ok, I am not really gonna give you any exact plans, but I DEFINITELY think you should have cocktails at a few different places BEFORE settling down to eat dinner. Are you thinking of keeping your CG ADR for just the two of you? That would be a lovely place to dine.

I am not that familiar w/PI so I cannot offer too much advice there. Sorry I am not much help, but I just wanted to say HI and have a drink for me sat night, ok????? I am so jealous!

My DH and I had a wonderful dinner at Le Cellier at Epcot. We then hit some different countries while waiting for Illuminations. Our kids aren't real fans of Epcot so it was nice to stroll and relax while checking it out. We also have gone to PI and checked out the Adventures Club and then the House of Blues. Have a great time. I wish we were going soon.

Yes there are a few clubs at PI that we have never been in! AC, the Comedy Club....

I guess we could dine at CG - watch fireworks and then head over to PI if we feel up to it....;)

One night on our last trip we had the children go to the Sandcastle Club in the Beach Club so we could have a date night.

We ate dinner at the Yachtsman, walked around the World Showcase, watched Illuminations and then strolled around the Boardwalk. We needed to be back to get the kids around 10:00 so we were a little limited- but it was a great night!

Good luck with your plans! :thumbsup2

I had my eye on trying a new restaurant, Citrico's or Narcossee's.....DH loves CG though, I do as well. Then we could actually hoard the crayons ourselves and write love notes on the tablecloth! Well, providing they give us crayons....;)

I guess it depends on whether you want romance or fun. For a romantic evening, I would hit Epcot, possibly Le Cellier. Have some wine, stroll around World Showcase, and watch Illuminations. For fun you could go to the comedy club in PI. I think PI is more fun later in the evening though, like 11pm on.

Enjoy!

We have Le Cellier reservations on Friday night and I doubt now at this late time (11 days) we'd be able to change that. And that place has always been loud and close together when we have been.

What do you all think of CG, fireworks and then by the time we get to PI it will be 11 - are the AC and Comedy Clubs still going then....although I like to dance!!!

That sounds like a good plan to me. Last time I went to PI, we danced until almost 2am. :cool1: That was pre-kids for me, so it has been about 7 years.
