Two adults, no kids.
Not interested particularly in shows or rides on this trip
Will grab food as we tour

DL opens at 9,
DCA opens at 10

I've seen Nemo but my friend hasn't and may want to.

We like all the rides-won't exclude anything.

Toy Story Mania? Is it here now?

Spontaneous trip, so no time to plan, and my books are far away (and out of date). I know it's very quiet, but still want to maximize our time there and minimize wait time.

Can you suggest or link to a good touring plan? Thanks so much!

Definitely get there early and go into DL first. Grab a FP for something (Space or Indy probably) and then ride some of your favorite rides. I wouldn't recommend hopping to DCA until noon or so. Save Toy Story for later in the afternoon/evening. If you can, and your friend wants to ride Nemo, ride it as your last ride. Most likely the line will be around 30-45 minutes all day, so unless you are one of the first ones at the gates in the morning, evening is your best bet for that ride. Save Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Snow White, Pinocchio, and any indoor show attraction for the afternoon because they never have long lines.

If lines are long, FP Space, Indy, Splash and in DCA Screamin and Soarin. Remember that Roger Rabbit and Grizzly River Run (DCA) FPs are disconnected and you are able to get one even if you are already holding onto a FP for a different ride.

You are going at a perfect time to ride a lot. While much of what the above poster said is true, lines are not so much a concern right now. Believe it or not, the line for Nemo was 20 minutes in the middle of the afternoon yesterday. Seriously.

Have fun... see what you can, know that you won't see it all... enjoy the magic. :wizard:

Glad to hear crowds aren't as large as expected. Hopefully, this will hold out for another two weeks! :crossing fingers:

I was just there wednesday with DD and a friend, for a last minute, one day park hopper!!! Park opened at 10, just as we were getting there, and we did Nemo first. The wait was about 30 minutes. We did a couple more rides and headed to CA around noon for lunch. TSMM was only a 15 minute wait (I don't even think it was that long!) We liked it so much that we got right back in line for another run, but the ride broke down when we were SOOOOO close to the front. Crowds were very very light! Skipped the parades (seen them) and got all the rides we wanted in, mostly walk on.
