I know, I know!!! This saturday my sister and her boyfriend are leaving for WDW until the 25th. They have asked me to come along and I really want to join them on their trip.

When it comes to last minute airfare, are there any really good websites? They are flying Delta out of LaGuardia so it would be LGA to MCO. I would prefer direct flights but know that connecting would bring down the cost significantly!

Should I buy today? Should I wait until Friday? I've purchased airfare close to a vacation, but not three days!

Help!

I hate to tell you this but Saturday is one of the worst days to fly and last minute airfares around this time are outrageous!

Try cheaptickets.com or just do a search for last minute airfares.

Have you ever bid on Priceline? If not, please, please go to biddingfortravel dot com and read all the airfare information. You WILL have inconvenient times, probably at least 2 stops, but you may get a decent airfare. And you have no choice of which airline you get.

Good Luck!

Many major airlines offer last minute special fares for weekend travel. For example, American calls them NetsAAver fares, and United calls them United E-fares. Look at the airlines that fly from your airport on the route you want, and then try looking for their last minute fare deals.

Try websites such as http://www.Orbitz.com/ and http://www.HotWire.com/ as well as airline sites such as http://www.Delta.com/ and http://www.AA.com/ and http://www.usairways.com/

If you know you're going to go this Saturday, it's unlikely that there would be any advantage to waiting until Friday. Of course, there's always a chance of a last minute sale or Internet special, but there's also a chance that prices will go up again, as airlines deal with rising fuel costs. Also, as you wait longer, remaining seats might fill on the more convenient or less expensive flights. And, finally, airlines have a habit of trying to extract high fares from last minutes travelers, who are typically business travelers.

If you are only going for a "weekendish" trip, try this site:

www.site59.com

Their last-minute fares are often comparable to advance-purchase leisure fares, as long as you are going offseason.

Hi ALL!
If you are really desperate then set your alarm for 2am Thursday and start searching all the discount carriers that you like. It seems that after the west coast booking agents finish at midnight (3am est) and flights are updated, thats when some seats are available. So log on and hold a window for each airline site you want to fly, then just keep plugging in data.
One more thing, After midnight on thursday 1201 Friday call the airline direct , I found that the midnight crew on the phones like to find a flight for you, BUT, be nice and humble , they like to feel like hero's!
Good Luck!

Delta/Song - RT around $284 08/20 to 08/25 LGA to MCO

if you can't get a cheap enough airfare, try going to www.travelocity.com and booking a last minute vacation. Usually the rates for air and hotel, or air and car are cheaper than air alone. Crazy, but true. And if you don't need the hotel or car, just don't use them. :teeth:

Check Southwest, the new sale ($49.00 each way ) is not good until 8/30 travel but I am leaving this Sunday and paid that for Sunday travel. Check thier website, its only an internet price, and see if any seats are available. You may have to fly out of HArtford or Long Island Good luck
