Last week I asked about our plans, and got some input. I've been trying to rework out plans so that we can have more down time. We're traveling with two children who both have special needs, so we just are not going to be able to pack in full days, every day. I'm trying to finalize our overall plan, just so we can finalize any ADRs etc...
So the details/considerations:
- We're traveling end of June, hot, busy
- Afternoon out of park/return breaks will not work for us. We'll plan sit-down time, indoor rides/shows as much as possible during the afternoon heat
- We're driving 3 days to get there, so we want an easier day on Thursday
- We're traveling with my in-laws, however they are leaving on Wednesday, so we have one extra day
- I want to have the children back at the house and in bed at a normal time as much as possible
- If we have a late night, then we need to follow it with an easy morning so we can give them some R&R time
- We need some down-time, where we can just hang out at the house in the pool, relaxing
- We are not dropping SW or DC
- The two MK days are not being changed
So here's what I've come up with for options, basically 3, and I'm debating which sounds the best for avoiding burn out:
A:
Thursday: half-day at Sea World (12-5ish)
Friday: MK, full day (9-4ish), go home for supper, rest, then Pirates & Pals Cruise that night for fireworks
Saturday: half day at Epcot (12-5ish, this lets us sleep in after our late night)
Sunday: half day at HS (9-1ish), free afternoon, HDDR at 6:00
Monday: AK, full day (9-4ish)
Tuesday: DC, full day (9-4ish)
Wednesday: half-day at MK (9-12ish), free afternoon, will go back to park for BBB @5:00, CRT @ 6:50, stay for MSEP, probably do a couple M&G in the evening
Thursday: half day at Aquatica or whatever...
*The nice thing about this plan is that my-in laws can go to Epcot with us, which they will otherwise miss. My only concern is we don't have an entire "down" day, but maybe the half days in there will be enough. Plus, DC is a nice break from the theme parks/sensory overload.
B:
Thursday: AK
Friday: MK, full day, Pirates & Pals Cruise that night for fireworks
Saturday: half day at SW
Sunday: free day, HDDR at 4:00
Monday: DC, full day
Tuesday: HS, shorter day (9-2ish)
Wednesday: half-day at MK (9-12ish), free afternoon, BBB @5:00, CRT @ 6:50, stay for MSEP
Thursday: Epcot, shorter day (9-2ish)
*My son wants to do AK first, he is soooo excited about it. Though I don't know if a full day at AK right after 3 days/27 hours of driving is going to have us way too tired, right off the bat? ILs won't be able to do Epcot, but not the end of the world.

Thursday: SW, half day
Friday: MK, full day, Pirates & Pals Cruise that night for fireworks
Saturday: free morning, go in afternoon to HS, stay for 9:00 Fantasmic (probably go to HS around 2, ADR at Sci-Fi for supper/a break)
Sunday: free day, HDDR at 4:00
Monday: AK, full day
Tuesday: DC, full day
Wednesday: half-day at MK (9-12ish), free afternoon, BBB @5:00, CRT @ 6:50, stay for MSEP
Thursday: Epcot, shorter day (9-2ish)
*This plan, we can do Fantasmic which I think the kids will enjoy, though it means attending HS on a day where they have morning EMH. It's two late nights in a row, though they'll have Sunday to recover.
