Hello everyone - I realize the only foolproof answer is to wait for the schedule to come out, but Disney doesn't seem to post all that far in advance, and I'd like to be further ahead in planning.
Visiting Disneyland December 28-Jan 2 (not counting travel days). As of right now, plan is DL on 12/28 and 12/31, DCA on 12/29 and 1/2 - although I could change up the dates if there's a compelling reason to do so. We do have park hoppers. Yes, I realize it will be insanely busy.
We've been to WDW several times, but this is our first trip to DL. I'm still wrapping my head around which shows happen in which park, and between things seeming to go by all kinds of different names based on season, the 70th anniversary (some things continuing, some not), the general holiday schedule (which holiday things are happening or not), anything specific to NYE itself - I just cannot seem to wrap my head around which days and times the various parades, fireworks, and other nighttime shows are happening.
Most pressing is figuring out whether/which ADRs I want to make (e.g. Fantasmic dining package). But I would also really love to have a general schedule of what is likely happening each day, and at what time, in each park, to help with overall itinerary setting. We are planning to make the most of the nighttime hours, as most of my family are not morning people (probably the first couple days we'll get there early since we'll be on central time, but by the end of the trip, who knows).
Anyway, I'm hoping that someone with more experience than I would be able to sketch out the likely entertainment schedule, or at least the possibilities, for those dates. Thanks in advance!
