Help Me Explain to Non-Disney People Why I Love Disney...

I hope this is where this thread should go.

First, my friends just thought I was just needing to catch up on those attractions I didn't see the first time I went.

Then, when I was on my fourth trip, they thought I was a bit eccentric.

Now they just think I'm plan 'ol nuts. You get the usual "why don't you go somewhere else for a change? Why don't you go to an adult place like Vegas? Aren't you a little bit too old for Disneyworld?"

I'm sure alot of you know the bliss when you find another adult who loves Disney and WDW as much as you do.

Any thoughts on how I can explain why without me quoting from any of the Disney movies or songs???? :wave2:

Ely

Here are my thoughts on this  ....

1. Who cares what anyone thinks.

2. Many people take repeat vacations to the same island....no one questions them!!

3. Stop trying to convert people.....I'd like to keep the crowds down...especialy when I really enjoy going ...when all the kids are in school.

4. These people who say "You're going Again!!" Are just jealous!!

I do take other vacations and have seen many places....But there is nothing....I repeat ...NOTHING...that gives me the same feeling as walking down Main Street in the morning. I don't have words to describe how I feel when I go to Disney.

And that is all I am going to say on that!!

Today was my kid's 100th day of school and every year they do a little 100 day celebration. I got home from work and I saw a two page paper my youngest (1st grader) wrote about what you would do if you had $100. The story was so cute (and funny) about how she would give it to her daddy so he could use it to take us to Disney World again (because it is expensive and he spent all his money last time).

We have gone to Disney two years in a row at Thanksgiving. We go to either Cape Cod, Maine or NH just about every summer. My kids talk about going to Disney again almost every day but never about going to the Cape...You do the math...Oh, and I am not knocking those vacation spots. We have fun there, too. But it is just not the same...

I actually feel sorry for them! A life never experiencing Disney magic... that feeling can't be mimicked anywhere else. I hate to say without my fix, I'd feel deprived.

What is there to explain. You have found a place that you love to vacation in. Many people go to the same beach every year for there vacation or take the same golfing trip every year and do they have to explain it to everyone. As love as you continue to have fun visiting WDW that should be all the explaination anyone needs. I tell people, it's my time and my money I am going to spend it on what make me happy!! :cheer2:

That coworker who is having her Honeymoon @ WDW is so lucky....my dream guy would love disney as much as i do...and could afford to let me have the wedding (and honeymoon) of my dreams @ WDW lol...**Vero stops daydreaming***

We honeymooned in Disney World and it was the best trip I ever had!! DH now loves DW. We're going back in October. (my 14th time!)
Better than Europe, California, any other vacation... DW will forever be my number 1 vacation destination!!!
