I never seem to take the time to enjoy the World Showcase. We usually walk around the lagoon once during our trips, but never really explore anything. This makes our time in Epcot very short.

Give me some tips, and places to stop or things to eat around the world.

Thanks

This year I bought the World Showcase passport.
It really helped me to look around in each country,
learn and see more about the countries,
and for sure check out the gift shops!!!

I like the Snacks around the world idea. May do it next week when we are at EPCOT. (Actually I am hoping that someone will have a Fried Candy Bar out)

It will be the Food festival so I may have to be selective.

One of my favorite places in EPCOT is the Morrocan pavilion. It's like something out of Indiana Jones. The Little Museum there is interesting.

The train yard in Germany is a not-miss for me also.

Le Cellier is my favorite place to eat, but, Alfredo's, St Angel Inn and the Japanese coutner service are also very nice.

If you’re a fan of the characters, in certain countries when you go back through them you’ll see certain characters. We’ve seen Belle & Beast back in France; Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, & Eeyore in one of the UK shops; Aladdin & Jasmine in Morocco; Koda & the other bear up in Canada, and others {if I matched-up any of the characters with the wrong countries, my bad}. But it’s cool to find the characters back in the nooks & crannies of the countries rather than on the main thoroughfare like usual.

when we went in august, we bought a penny book and did all the pressed pennies of the countries! that way we went into each gift shop and looked around, and we ate at a bunch of the countries too! we saw some characters, and it was a blast .. it was the longest id ever spent at EPCOT!

and if you go to japan look for a box of these little hamburger cookies, they are so cute and they're chocolate! :) they were a hit with my sisters!

Don't miss the miniature train in Germany that circles around a miniature town with miniature people - a lot of fun to look at.

I adore the World Showcase. The pavillions themselves are gorgeous - especially Morocco and Mexico, IMHO.

Flowers and Off Kilter in Canada.
Beatles in England.
Movie in France.
MoRockin in Morocco.
Movie and acrobats in China...and doing the thing where you stand in the middle of the room and hear the echo.
Church and boat ride in Norway.
Mexico - the whole pavillion, including the ride - love it!

Favorite places to eat are Mexico, Morocco and England.

Least favorite things are movies in Canada and Norway - snoozers!

But not everything is for everyone. If you don't like it, you don't! No biggie. :)

There was a fun tin toy museum at the back of Japan. Also, we love the pastry shop in France. I could spend every day at Epcot.

Are you taking kids? If so, making masks and adding to it in each country is a lot of fun. You get to talk to a lot of CMs, and have a free little craft when you're done.

Speaking of CMs, if you don't have kids, just talk to the CMs on your own. Many are from the country they work at, and love to talk about where their from. We've had some great conversations with CMs from Norway and Canada, just to name a couple.

Also, spend some time in Canada, the falls area is beautiful. And, although a little outdated, we always enjoy the movie there.

Our secret to enjoying WS is to go in the evenings, just as the sun is setting. We do the rides in the AM, front of EPCOT and return to resort and do a different park the first evening then we might do MK in the am, return to resort and hot to EPCOT for WS. Its quietier and less people in the evenings and it just feels like you're actually in each country. The lights on the buildings and alleys makes it all real.
