Help me decided when to go!

We've already been back over a week, so I am waaaaaay behind on planning our next trip!

Seriously, we typically go to WDW in early December. Now DH says he would like to try October. His reasoning is he wants to go to MNSSHP, play golf, go to water parks, use the pool, maybe try a fishing trip and basically be gauranteed weather warm enough to do all of that in (well, not MNSSHP, but you get the idea!) We had some pretty cool/breezy days on our last trip. We ended up skipping the water park and the pool. I know December is iffy at best. Living in the "deep south" myself, I feel pretty sure that October will be warm enough to do all that he wants to do.

What I want to know about is the crowds. We've gotten really spoiled to the early December crowd level! (Though I have noticed it getting progressively more crowded each year.) How crowded is October compared to early December? Is there a part of the month that is better than other parts? We plan on doing 8-10 days, doing parks only every other day. We'll do the above mentioned stuff on our "off" days.

Any insight on the best time to go would be greatly appreciated.

Right now we are having the same discussion! We are definately going in August and want to return for either oct or dec. but kept changing our minds. We have been at both times before but its been a few years. I really like the xmas feel & mvmcp but the warmer weather with pool options is a big thing for us too. I keep thinking instead of 2 weeks, maybe we should do both for 1 week each?

Crowd levels are changing alot recently. October seemed busy with Mickeys Halloween party and the Food and Wine Festival. December has been busy with the days that we have gone over as well. It will be warmer in October and you will have a greater chance of rain as well.

Thanks! I'm kinda leaning towards the last week of October/1st part of November. That would put us there on Halloween. I wonder how crowded the last 2 MNSSHP are? It's probably going to be that week, or the week before.

Were planning Nov 1 - 6 and hope its not too busy. Just after Halloween, before Jersey week. Alot of schools (like ours) are out that Thurs and Fri but I hope not everyone will rush down. Went first week of Dec 3 yrs ago and it was nice. Hoping the weather will be a little nicer early November, but still not crowded.

Really this shouldn't be so hard for me! Dh has to request next year's vacation time tomorrow, so I HAVE to make a decision TODAY!!!!

Right now I am really leaning towards October 27-November 4. I have some friends who were down there this year at about that time; and they said the crowd level was good. No long waits, not overly crowded at MNSSHP on the 30th, warm enough for t-shirts and shorts every day.

Personally, I would really rather go in December since I love the Christmas decorations so much. But.......since dh is footing the bill I guess he really should have some say so in when we go. As you can see by my sig., I've picked the dates for all of our other trips!
