So I need some advice! When is a better time to get married in WDW...October, December, or May? I am really leaning towards October because it seems like it would be the best weather, lowest crowds, and fun activities.
I think December might be chilly, and I would have it in the middle of the month so that it shouldn't be too crowded.
May was pretty rainy when I was there in 2002 and the crowds were a little heavy.
Any opinions???

Early May might still be cooler weather (not sure about the rain, though) and the crowds might not be as heavy in the first part of May since most schools aren't out yet. The landscaping will be gorgeous this time of year.

It's hard to beat December crowds but you're right about the weather. The two times that I went (both times were during the 2nd week in Dec), the weather was really nice. It was a bit cool some of the days, but I actually had to buy extra short-sleeve shirts and a pair of shorts on one of the visits because it was in the 80s. But you never know when the cold fronts are coming in and how cold they'll really be. Other pluses to Dec. are the beautiful Christmas decorations and MVMCP.

October sounds fun because you have the food and wine festival at EPCOT going on (in the early part of Oct, anyway) and you could also go to MNSSHP.

We were married in mid-April (in a year when Easter fell on April 4th so the crowds were small when we went), so my experience won't help you much. I can tell you that it was 72 degrees outside with a light breeze and perfect blue sky. I couldn't have asked for more perfect weather....just in case you add April to your list of possibilities...just beware of when Easter falls if you do.

Good luck and congrats on your wedding....

I got married at WDW in December (2003), and loved the time frame. We are weenies when it comes to heat, so both May and October would've been too hot for us (especially in wedding clothes). However, if you like warmer weather they would be great choices. We did enjoy the Christmas decorations that were up throughout the World though--our reception at the AAR had lots of free decor. I have been to WDW the past 5 Decembers, and it's usually not too cold, though on our honeymoon it was quite chilly (in the 40's) for a good portion of the time we were there. Hope that helps a little!

We were there last May and the weather was great, so we picked May 20, 2006 for our wedding. October could also be great, but keep in mind that it is the tail end of hurricane season, so you would hate to have that kind of storm postpone the wedding!

i can't help but praise about getting married in september in WDW because the weather was just perfect. our date is september 29th and the weather was just warm, sunny and very comfortable. october sounds like a good idea because you can go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and maybe theme your wedding as Halloween or fall. whatever tickles your fancy.
