Would you recommend Sept. 20-26 or Nov. 8-14? I have a Sept. trip booked with the dining promotion but have access to a YES program discount in Nov. which will make either trip cost about the same. I know crowds are lower in Sept. but the weather should be nicer in Nov. What do you think?

I went this past September 22-28 so, about the same week. The crowd level was great. Granted I still never got on SDMT but that is hard no matter when you go right now. The weather was not really that bad. It was a little hot but no at all like the summer is. I have been in Nov but only AFTER Thanksgiving so I am not sure about crowds at that time.

We like September. We have been in both Sept. and Nov. before. The crowds seemed smaller and rides more accessible in Sept. rather than Nov. The temperature is warmer in September with a slightly higher chance of rain which can actually work to your advantage if you don't mind wearing a poncho or rain jacket. We got to ride BTM continuously 5 times one day without ever getting out of the car we were in because of people seeking shelter from the rain. It is Florida so we were prepared and it was well worth it. BTM is my wife's second favorite ride behind Space Mountain.

People also thought we were crazy when we rode Splash Mountain in the rain. We were already wet so why not take advantage of the extremely short (walk on and off) wait for a ride that normally has a 30+ minute wait?! :)

We try to go the 2nd to last week in September (this year Sept. 19-26) and when we went in Nov. it was the 6th-13th (we ran the W&D Half Marathon and spent Veterans day at the MK).

I'd pick Sept for lower crowds and warmer weather. My sole Nov trip was (albeit unseasonably) too cold.

I would say Nov. It is my favorite time to go to disney. The weather is great, crowds are low, Christmas decorations are up. I just love it. Sept is nice, but still really really hot, steamy and rainy.

For me, the YES classes tip the scale. For my kids to be able to see some of the magic of Disney while learning something would be priceless.

I'm going in September for the first time this year. Accoding to the crowd calendar, it's the least attended week of the year. November is great all around! I have always been able to wear shorts (but I pack clothes for cooler weather, just in case). The Christmas decorations are up. The crowd level is great.

We went in November during that week and the weather was all over the place! I wish I packed more sweaters! The Christmas decorations and festivities are awesome but this year we are planning a September trip.

I'll second this. We used to go in September each year and finally the heat and humidity got to us.

Thanks for the posts...although the opinions are as divided as my own. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

We go in late August early September because it's warmer. We love to hit the waterparks and quiet pools. It does rain occasionally but for two adults we just put on our poncho's and hit more rides. People clear out when it rains or hit the food joints. We also hang out side the room and watch the rain. It's vacation, it's what you make it. When it's hot, go swimming. When it rains, take advantage of it.

September! Mostly for crowds and weather. Florida weather is so bipolar in November, your luggage would be packed. I'm not a fan of the cold though so I'm biased..

I am not sure how it will affect crowds but Veterans Day falls in the middle of the Nov week. Not sure if more people w kids would tend to go either Sat to Wed or Wed to Sun as the kids would only miss two days of school. I know you said your trips were about the same originally I was going to book that week but ended up saving over $600 on airfare going the following week. I also know that the end of "Jersey Week" is the 5th and 6th, not sure if families might stay until the 11th again only having to miss two days of school. Just a couple things to think about.

I'm surprised by how many people are saying they would go in September for the weather. For me, the weather is why I wouldn't choose September; I much prefer the cooler temps in November.

I went last year about the same time in November, maybe a little later, but before Thanksgiving and the crowds were horrible and the weather was FREEZING. One day it didn't get out of the 40s, was drizzling, and windy. I would go in September. Yes it's hot but the crowds will be so much better!
