We may be able to take a trip back to wdw in 2011.
We (me, DH, DD9, and DS 6) went last Christmas. We've been during Mardi Gras (when it didn't coincide with President's day) and we've been twice during Easter break. I would REALLY like to experience the Halloween festivities/decorations. Problem is we can only go when the kids are off of school. We have a fall break scheduled around Columbus Day. I don't mind taking the kids out of school for a couple days just not a week.
I'm worried about the weather and crowds around this time. We live in South Louisiana so we know all about heat and humidity but I don't like it. How bad is it at the beginning of October? We've been in the crowded seasons before but how does Columbus Day weekend compare to Christmas, Easter, etc.?
My second choice after October would be Mardi Gras of 2012. In addition to waiting longer, Mardi Gras falls the same week as President's Day. The weather will be better but do I want to put up with the crowds????
So give me your opinion. Should I go in October with the heat and humidity? or do I wait until Mardi Gras and put up with the crowds?
Thanks!!!
