Help me decide which resort/room type!

This will be our first stay on Universal property...which of the following would you choose and why? Also, will I get a better rate the longer I leave it to book?

If I had the money, I'd book Portofino Bay Deluxe for the large room size and luxury. I have only stayed at Hard Rock Garden View, and it was wonderful. From what I understand, Club level is mainly a food add-on, that the rooms are the same as regular. Since we eat out anyway, I think it would be nice for our family to have a beautiful large room to come back to periodically during the day.

PBH is the tops! The luxury was covered by the above poster, but service here excels in my opinon. This is a first class place where you can wear shorts!
