I am down to two different dates but I need advice. The first one is October 30-Nov 4. I called and they said the tickets for MNSSHP were sold out for the 31st. Is there any hope of getting tickets to that when you get there? Also I have read on the boards that it is New Jersey week and it is very busy. Election day is on Nov 2 but I would not think that would make much difference in the crowds but I do not know.

The other time is Jan 15- 20. I was set on that date until I discovered it was Martin Luther King Holiday weekend and the crowds were bad.
If anyone has been during any of these times or has any advice for me I would so appreciate it.

I am not able to speak to your possible fall dates, as I have never been to WDW during that time, but my family did visit WDW this past January and our trip fell over the Martin Luther King holiday.

We flew into MCO the day before MLK day and did not go to the parks that day. We were going to skip the parks on MLK day also, but changed our minds and headed to Epcot around noon. The World Showcase was very quiet, as we passed through. There were long waits for Test Track and M:S; I think about 80 minutes for standby. The rest of the attractions did not have very long waits. It was raining on and off that day. We moved to the World Showcase and had a fabulous time.

The day after MLK day we went to AK and that park got fairly crowded by 11:00. The crowds dropped off significantly after Tuesday, and we found many rides at all parks walk-on, or with minimal wait times (10-15 min) for the remainder of the week.

I would not let the MLK holiday disuade you from going to WDW. I think that this time of year is a wonderful time to go to WDW. Except for drizzle on MLK day, we had sunny weather with daytime temps in the high 60's/low 70's. It was grand! We are contemplating heading back to WDW this coming MLK week.

I can't speak from experience, but I have a co-worker who goes the last week of Oct/first week of Nov every year, and they love it!

As far as MNSSHP, the 31st has been sold out for a week or two now, I don't think they hold back any tickets to be sold at the gate, I think when they're gone, they're gone. Sorry!

Another thought on January, but I don't know what kind of weather you have where you are, is what about weather when you're leaving/returning home? I wouldn't have thought of it, but last year my DH flew to France in January, and when he came back, BIL almost wasn't able to get to the airport to get him in our 4WD because of the snowstorm that hit that day, and the pilot had a terrible time landing because the airport hadn't cleared the runways yet.

Whenever you pick, you'll have a great time! I'd go with Oct/Nov, just because it's sooner!
