You may have seen my post about alone with 3 kids, well, we are going and will either drive down Saturday or Sunday. Hubby's conference is Tuesday and Wednesday. So he really wants them to go to sea world. So the dilemma is this...If we drive Saturday and stay offsite, we hit SW Sunday. We can do early check in at RPR Monday, but after forking out $230 for SW, is it worth another $230 for 1 day/1 park since we will be onsite w/fotl? We are on a budget and really want to try it, but with a 2 yr old, 5 and 7, we will have to baby swap a lot and may not get to do much due to height requirements, etc. With hotel and both Seaword and IOA tks and food it would be $800 for 2 days. If we wait and drive sunday and skip the universal park, we can do it for $330.00.
On one hand it seems silly not to being on-site and all, but realistically, I have decided not to take them to the parks by myself and will do pool days Tues. and Wed. BTW, which pool is best for kids and can they play in the sand on the "beach"?
Thanks!
Alicia

someone posted about doing the parks while the husband was in a conference.'
maybe that was one of your threads?

i thought the room was covered by the company as it was a business trip.
correct me if i read that wrong, or you might be a different person i posted to the other day.

same person, but different question. The company is only paying for Mon night - Wednesday night. I have decided that I probably don't want to take them to the parks by myself and unfortunately, his last session ends at 6:45 and the parks close at 7:00. By myself, I could not let the older kids ride by themselves and I would have the baby. So we were considering going down a few days early. If we go Sat, we have to pay for a hotel Sat and Sunday plus tickets and food. We did decide to go at least 1 day early and do seaworld, but are just trying to determine if 1 day at IOA is worth an extra $260 ticket, $100 in food, and another night at a hotel for $100. So where the original question was could I do it without going insane, the question now is should I pay $460 for one day? Is IOA that good? Will I regret not doing it?
Thanks!

I would go for it and purchase tickets but not single day tickets. This might cost a little more since they are not single day tickets but overall I think it would be better for you. I would purchase sets of the 3 day passes from the UK version of the Universal website available here. Those tickets are $112 a piece but with each adult ticket you get one child ticket free. If you purchase 2 sets for $224 you would still need to purchase one more childs ticket (I would get the $85 deal for that single ticket) or I don't believe the adult tickets expire you could just purchase 3 sets and keep the extra ticket for later. I am not sure what the dates your going are but this gives you options for example if your husband gets out early you could go to the parks one evening if open or if after a day of sitting around the pool you realize you might want to try out the parks on your own with the kids if nothing else you could just walk around.
