We are going to Disney for a week in Februrary. I'm currently trying to decide what reservations to make, and am being indecisive! Please help me decide which places to choose. We have 3 kids ages 7,5, and 1, and have been to Disney once a year for the past few years. But this time we are taking both grandmas with us, so we want it to be special b/c it will most likely be the only time they will ever go. My DH's mom has never been, and my mom was there a few times, but before Epcot was built. (She thinks she's already seen everything!)

My family is fine w/ pretty much everything food wise, and I want to try as many places as I can at Disney. Our moms are not as adventurous (sp?) when it comes to food, but they do like to try different things. But I don't want to do anything too different for them - like Boma for example.

So far I have reservations at: Prime Time Cafe, Narcoossees's, Teppan Edo, and Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner. We have done all these except for Teppan Edo before. My mom loves Japanese Steak houses, and and rarely gets to go, so I thought this would be a good choice.

I want to pick out 2 more meals, and one character breakfast our last day. I need all of them to be outside of parks. I want to have a nice variety of places, without feeling like we are eating the same things day after day.

THe places I'm considering are:
Ohana, Whispering Canyon, Kona Cafe, Cape May Clam bake, or maybe even Chef Mickey's for dinner or 1900 Park Fare. (We've been to all but WCC, and Chef MIckey's for dinner)

For breakfast I'm trying to decide btwn Chef Mickey's or Cape May- and if we do one for dinner, I'd pick the other for breakfast. (We've done both- like both, but can't decide which to do. I love the beach club and would love our mom's to see it.. but I think i like CM b/c it has more characters)

So please give me your opinions on what to choose! Thanks!

My family always enjoys breakfast at the Crystal Palace, near Cinderella's Castle. The characters are Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. We aren't the hugest Pooh fans, but the place is great and the food is wonderful. It's a buffet, with tons of fresh fruit, Disney waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, -- the whole nine yards!

Ohana dinner was by far the biggest disappointment food wise of our trip. That being said the food was still above average, I guess I just expected better, maybe my expectations were too high. However we did meet and end up dining with ( looong story I will post a dining review ) a lovely couple from Illinois. That was some pure disney magic!

We haven't had dinner at Cape May, clam bakes aren't our thing. We really loved breakfast there though. It was one of the best breakfasts we had.
We had dinner at Chef Mickeys. It was just ok. The kids loved it. We're trying breakfast there this time.
If you are only looking for one more character meal, I think I'd go with Cape May breakfast. The characters seemed much less rushed and the whole atmosphere less chaotic than CM.
Are you going to DTD at all? Maybe you would want to try a meal there and do a bit of shopping?
Otherwise, maybe a Poly dinner at either Kona or Ohana? Those would be no characters, but enjoyable none the less.
