O.K., everyone knows there aren't many choices at MK, we're on the dining plan so I don't care about prices (cheap or expensive) we already have a TON of great meals planned, and Crystal palace is out because we're already going there for Bkfast one morning. Liberty Tavern is out because my DH doesn't like the food and we are already seeing Mickey another day at the BYBBQ.
So. . . . .that being said it is Tony's or the Plaza for us for dinner. I have the Plaza booked because the deserts look GREAT! But now I'm thinking I would come to you for oppinions. If it was between these two restaraunts which would you choose and why (it is myself, my DH, DS 5, and DD 2 1/2). We aren't picky eaters. THANKS!

Lesley

We like Tony's because I'm not really a sandwich kind of person, and that's mostly what they have. Oh yeah, just for reference, Mickey doesn't appear at LTT :guilty: Oh well. But anyway, I had ADR's for both The Plaza and Tony's and wound up cancelling the Plaza. We've eaten at Tony's A LOT and have always had great food and service there, so we'll be sticking with that. :thumbsup2

Why not take the monorail to the CR and do Chef Mickey. Or go to the POLY for Ohana's or Kona's. There is also the 1900Park Faire at the GF. All just a few minutes away (maybe 20 minuteslonger away than Tony's).
IMO not going to CP for dinner is a mistake, I always do one breakfast and one dinner at Crystal Palace: may be the same characters but the food is different and it is always fun.
The Plaza would be my last choice for TS restaurant: this place seems more like CS to me because of the food selection.
Whatever you decide, enjoy.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We are already doing Chef Mickey, O'Hana's and 1900 Park fair on other nights, we need a restaraunt inside of MK that night, which is why I am asking which you would choose between these two, because it will definitely be one of those two. Thanks for the help.

If those are my only choices, I'd take Tony's. That sounds bad...I don't mean it that way. I like the decor, the service is usually good as is the food.

If you were willing to leave the park, consider the Concourse Steak House.

Thanks,

I am happy that everyone is confirming the choices we've already made : ) we are going to the Concourse for Father's Day. So, one more vote for Tony's. What is your favorite desert there? The reason I booked Plaza was because of the incredible deserts there. On the kids menu at Tony's they have a cookie sundae that sounds good, do you think they would let me get that??

The worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant, not just at WDW, was at Tony's. I'd love to try the Plaza next trip. It may not have the decor, but the food would have to be better. That's my 2 cents. :teacher:

I'd choose Tony's!

In fact, we're trying Tony's for the 1st time during our trip in June. I had all our ADR's planned (we have the dining plan too), and, out of the proverbial blue a couple of weeks ago, my son asked if we could eat at the "Lady & Tramp" restaurant. Since that's the only restaurant he mentioned, I felt like I needed to add it! (Especially since we're doing 2 princess meals for his sister...)

Last May, we walked into the lobby so that the kids could get their autograph books stamped by Lady, Tramp, Tony, & Joe. (The hostess will take autograph books back to the kitchen - Lady & Tramp are busy eating spaghetti & can't come out, you know! ;) ) And, this year, we decided to eat at Tony's! So, if your kids will have autograph books, ask if your server can take their books to the kitchen & get Lady & Tramp to stamp them.

For dessert, I think I'm going to try the cannolli.

It sounds like you'll be there during the same time we are! We'll be there from 6/13 through 6/20. I'm taking DH to dinner at San Angel Inn for Father's Day (a restaurant at which he's wanted to eat since 1991!). Our ADR for Tony's is on Monday, 6/19 - but it's for lunch.

We also have ADR's at LTT (dinner), Mama Melrose's (FDP), Crystal Palace (lunch), Garden Grill (lunch), CRT (lunch), Donald's Breakfastasauras, PSB (breakfast), WCC (dinner), & Chef Mickey's (breakfast). However, I'm thinking about trying to switch WCC for 'Ohana - we ate at 'Ohana last year & really enjoyed it, but wanted to try WCC this year, but I'm afraid we're going to miss 'Ohana...

Anyway, I rambled a lot, but wanted to chime in w/ another vote for Tony's! :teeth:

Thanks- your dining choices sound like ours last year. We are staying at WL, so WCC is a must for us, we love the antics there, and the kids always have fun. We're trying OHana for the first time this year - can't wait.

We are doing: Mama Melrose FDP, WCC, 1900 Park Fair, Tonys or Plaza (can't decide), OHana, Mickey's BYBBQ (my 30th b-day, followed by a WISHES cruise), Teppakanayi in Epcot, Crystal Palace for Breakfast, Contemporary for dinner on Fathers Day. Can't WAIT UNTIL JUNE! Have a great trip yourself!

We came *this close* to making reservations for the WL this year! :teeth: But DH & the kids wanted to go back to the cabins at Fort Wilderness...

One reason we're eating at WCC is because I wanted to see the WL & hopefully impress DH enough to stay there next year! ;) (DH likes the "openness" at FW - says it reminds him of camping w/ his family when he was a little boy... even though we're not camping  )

So, I'm glad to hear that your kids like WCC. We've got WCC scheduled for our last night, so I'm hoping for a really fun experience - although I'm really gonna miss the MK view from 'Ohana.
