We've decided to extend our trip next April by 2 more nights at the beginning of the trip - so we'll be leaving the Thursday following Easter weekend rather than the Saturday.

But we're unsure of where to stay for these two days. We have our Emerald Island villa booked for the original two weeks.

We have 2 DS's who will be 5 and half and 6 and half. We're prepared to push the boat out a little bit and treat ourselves to something nice, but not OTT!!! and we can fly in to either Orlando, Tampa or Miami, assuming we'll be flying as usual with United. What would you recommend???

The options woukld be

1. Stay at a Universal Hotel - if so which on

2. Stay at WDW hotel - if so which one

3 stay on the coast - if so where.

4. something else????

lookng forward to your suggestions!!1

I have to say that Front of Line for USF on-site guests and Extra Magic Hour for on-site WDW guests are worth thier weight in gold at busy times, like Easter. I know you're going just after Easter, but it is likely to still be pretty busy.

So my vote would be for either 1. or 2. to maximise those privileges for the two nights / three days. As your DSs are quite young, the advantages of EMH for WDW may be better for you as, IMHO, USF is generally more to the taste of older children and adults.

If you do go for a WDW resort, your DSs would love All Star Movies, I'm sure! If your budget runs to it, they'd probably also get a wow out of Animal Kingdom Lodge :)

Have fun deciding!

I like Hilary, would say take your DS's to All Star Movies, can you imagine them waking up in that resort with Buzz and Woody, how excited would they be :bounce:

At that time of year (busy) I'd opt for the Universal front of the line access, IMHO It's a huge benefit at busy times. I don't think it matters much which hotel at USF they are all great. I'd go for whichever offers the best deal. You're likely to spend a lot of time at WDW given the ages of your kids, but I doubt you'd spend more than 2 days at USF, by staying at a USF hotel it means you can really get the best of those parks and feel certain you won't feel you've wasted time waiting in line. If you get to the middle of the day and feel you've done everything you still have the option of strolling back to your hotel for a swim. IMHO it's better to feel you've done all you want, than to get frustrated because you spent too much time in queues. At WDW, ok you'll be queueing, but you're going to have more days to complete the important things, plus Disney's perks for ride access doesn't compare with Universals.
