I have two little girls who will be 5 & 6 when we go in October. They love all their characters, especially their princesses. I had originally planned on going to both Cinderella's Royal Castle and 1900 Park Fair - Hapily Ever After Dinner at the GF. Both are 2 credits, so I'm thinking that we should only do one (especially since I also want to go to Hoop-De-Do and thats a 2 credit meal too), but my question is, which one would you choose? We did the castle once before, but that was for breakfast, and this would be for dinner. I know the castle gives you a really nice photo package, and also little wands and such - does Park Fair do that too?

TIA!

1900 Park far does not give you the extra "toys" and photo packages, It is at the hotel... I actually hated this meal both times we tried it.....

Also, 1900 park is NOT 2credits.... It is only 1credit on the DDP

May I suggest Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot instead? They have the photo op with the princesses and they do the usual rounds at the table. I found the interaction and the food to be MUCH better. (Also only 1DDP credit)

Your right - it is only 1 point! Thats good news, but I still don't think I want to do both. We have been to Askershus twice now for dinner, and though your totally right, the character interaction and the pictures they give you are great, we want to try something new.

1900 P.F. is delightful. My kids loved the interaction and meeting the "wicked step sisters." The food was good, but not great. The organ music was a little loud, but my kids also really enjoyed eating at the Grand Floridian.

Given that you have not tried it, you really should give it a spin. It is a fun dinner and only a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom.

I just cannot justify using two credits for the Castle. It is nice, once, to experience it, but just not worth the cost.

Hoop Dee Doo on the other hand is worth it for our family. It was an experience the whole family enjoyed. Mom likes the all you want to drink Sangria. Dad Loves the corn bread and chicken, son loves the ribs, oldest daughter is enchanted with the strawberry shortcake. The littlest one is all about the music and being able to make noise on a wash board.

We loved the 1900 Park Faire! We were there at slower time so maybe that made a difference, but he character interaction was great. My 4 year old daughter got to dance with Prince Charming, and the step mother and sisiters were amazing with their protrayal of the characters!

Arg - decisions decisions!! My issue is that I don't want to spend more than one credit for the meal, but the characters are (to us) better at the castle than 1900 park fare.... Plus you get the picture package, etc. Thats one reason I'd say that we should forget both of them and do the Norway princess dinner - you get the "better" princess characters, PLUS the photo package, and its only 1 credit. But DH would not be happy about that since we have done it twice already, and he didn't really like the food the second time around.
Thanks again for all the help!!!!

There is a photo package at 1900 PF as well, its just that, like at Akershus, you pay for it extra. IF your girls are into all the princesses, not specifically Cindy, then I think Akershus is the way to go. If they are particularly fond of Cindy, I think the character interaction is absolutely awesome at 1900 PF, and I couldn't justify 2 credits for CRT, IMO.

We have done Akershus twice, and gotten the photo package both times, and never paid a penny for it. :confused3

I talked to DH, and he said to just get over it and choose the Castle! LOL Yes, its two credits (we are already spending 2 credits on Hoop-De-Doo) and yes it means we will have to pay OOP for something, and thats all there is to it.
Of course, we will discuss this more in the 7 months we have till we leave.... :rolleyes1

I didn't thin the food at park fare was bad at all. There is alot of interaction and the step sisters and Lady Tremaine are hysterical. They never step out of character. Even my teenage boys enjoyed it the last time we were there. They under protest for DD but ended up enjoying it especially when the step sisters started fighting over them. Even said they would go again.

I would do either 1900 pf or Akershus for Dinner, both worth 1 credit. Akershus comes with photo usually with Belle and is included with the meal.

interaction at 1900 was great. One of my girls dance with the PRince, the other gave the attitude to Lady tremaine which BTW actually laugh and of course Cinderella spent a long time with us. One of the step sisters screamed at one of my DDs for taking the dessert that she wanted. We had so much fun... can you tell the restaurant wasn't all that busy LOL The food was hot and good and since it's a buffet, you've got lots of choice even for the kids

Akershus, despite what some people say, we LOVE it there. The Food for adults is really good and we don't feel like the princesses are rushed. The selection for kids meal is not the greatest though. They had the choice of Hot dog, pizza and something else

another one your girls might like is Ohana for breakfast. Stitch is out of this world and is known to give little girls new hair doo. He gave one of my girls a new hair doo by pulling some hairs from her ponytale while she is laughing and pretended to sign her head as if he was signing he master piece.
