Okay, dd is at her dad's and dh had to work today. I'm going to the movies but I just can't decide. Which movie would you go see?

The Lake House
The Breakup
The Devil Wears Prada

Since it's just me, I'm going to see a girly movie. :teeth: I guess I could make a day of it and just see 'em all, eh?

Go early...buy one ticket...and go from theatre to theatre! J/K

I want to see "The Devil Wears Prada", so that is my vote! I've not seen any of them, though. Have a great time regardless!

:rotfl: Hey, you, it's awfully early in the morning to be trying to get me flamed! :lmao:

That's NOT my plan, folks. :teeth:

Well, I'd probably do a double feature with The Lake House and The Devil Wears Prada...seeing Prada first because the reviews have been bad but I want to see it anyway, and following up with the Lake House in case I need to save the whole movie going experience...

:rotfl: The thread the other day was the first thing that went thru my mind when I read your post! How sad is that?!

Hmmm...interesting idea, Mal. There is an extra early showing of Devil at 10:30.

Good thing I have my popcorn bucket! I think I'll be buying lots of snacks. popcorn::

Of the 3, I've only seen Devil Wears Prada and I really liked it. So I recommend that one.

Yep, and I don't even have any Red Vines on hand to sneak in. :lmao:

I'd totally pick Prada.

You lucky lucky girl. Isn't it amazing how fun it can be to do something alone for a change? Have a good time!

Okay...confession...I have never eaten a Red Vine...my only knowledge of them comes from Gilmore Girls (and the posts the other day).

I have to say The Lake House. It is a romantic movie and Keanu Reeves in that movie! :goodvibes

How did I miss Red Vines on the Gilmore Girls? When was that? So, THAT'S what you meant when you said I was so Lorelai. :rotfl: I thought it was the sneaking stuff in in my purse.

:lmao: Mal, my friend, if you like red licorice, you MUST get some Red Vines. They are VASTLY superior, as DH would say.

Guess what? Rory is on Regis & Kelly this morning. I could really get into this staying home every day thing. :teeth:

I love to go to the movies by myself. DD is a teenager and always wants to see something weird, DH and my mom always want to see some action flick. So, I hit the girly movies on my own and have a blast! I get to pick the movie and I get all the popcorn to myself.

Seems that in the frist couple seasons when they were going to the movie house more frequently, they were always buying Red Vines...

Tell me what Rory's like IRL...I have never seen her do an interview and always wondered.

i saw the lake house last week and LOVED it. :thumbsup2 i was wary because i don't like sappy movies but i had a free pass from work so i went with my friend....it's actually a really fascinating story, not disgustingly mushy at all, and we were talking about it for hours afterwards. it is a romance, but it is also about time travel - neat. plus, sandra & keanu are great. :teeth:

Okay, I think you sold me, Philadisney. I was actually leaning toward going to see this one but I hadn't heard any reviews from real people. :teeth: Thanks for the review!

Yea, I'm with you. Ever since being subjected to Nacho Libre :sad2: last week I'm up for a chick flick.

POTC this weekend has a little something for all of us, though. A little action for the boys, a little Depp for mom!

Husband and I saw the breakup. The first hour is really funny, but the last part goes down hill. We didn't like it that much.

Haven't seen the Lake House.

I think The Devil wears Prada is going to be great. Were going to see it. :)

Prada, Prada, Prada!!!

I saw it yesterday, and it was fabulous. Best movie I've seen in a while. A good girl movie too. The clothes and accessories are to die for (and I'm not even really into fashion.)

Well, I chose The Lake House and I really enjoyed it. Seriously, though, who would want to live in a glass house? I figured The Devil Wears Prada will be out for a while longer still so I can catch it another time.

Mal--I saw Rory on Regis & Kelly. She sounds pretty much the same but she was telling that she used to be a model before she got the GG gig and her first language is Spanish. How weird is that? They never said WHY and I just wanted to push Regis and Kelly out of the way and ask more questions. :teeth: I mean, if you're going to ask a question, get some more information people.

Thanks to all for the recommendations!
