I have a ressie for Ohana dinner and have been back and forth since booking.
I want to go there because of all the hype but DH and DS(15) will not eat much of the foods offerered. I love the Poly and would love to try it.
I have always loved the French Pavilion at Epcot and would kind of like to try Chefs, but have read many reviews of surly waitstaff, close/crowded tables, and so-so food. Again, I would be interested in the experience of dining there. I saw some times available the night we have reserved at Ohana and could switch.
What do you all recommend and why?

I just ate at both and -- if I couldn't do both -- I'd do Ohanas. It's just a better dinning experience. More unique, more pleasant. The only thing unique at Chefs is seeing the animitronic Remy at the earlier seatings -- and, frankly, it's only modestly entertaining. Otherwise, Chefs is a good but not great "ordinary" French restaurant. Ohanas is a unique Hawaiian grilled meats restaurant including some pleasant entertainment. With the DDP, you get a complete family-style meal, including appetizers. Unless you don't like grilled meats, or don't like Polynesia-themes, you really can't go wrong.

:goodvibesI would do ohanas over chef de france any day!!!! we eat there atleast twice during every trip just for the experience alone!! my neice and nephew didnt like some of the food at ohanas and they brought them out cheese mac instead! they will def accomodate for children with choices! honestlly ohanas is one of the things i look forward to most about vacation! i love love love the polynesian!!!

We did both on our last trip. We were giving Les Chefs another chance after a not so great experience two years ago. It was very good, so was 'Ohana. It's really hard to say because they are such different experiences.

If you think part of your group won't eat the food at 'Ohana than maybe Les Chefs is a better choice because they will have choices.

Ohana for sure. Chefs is nice, but the ambiance and food at Ohana is amazing. We had dinner and finished off dessert with the fireworks, it was the most romantic dinner ever!
