I am going to be on the deluxe dining plan and have reservations at California Grill, Flying Fish, Yachtsman, and Jiko. But after reading so many wonderful reviews, I am regretting that I don't have Artist Point on the list and I can't decide if I should add it and which other signature to drop.

I will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn, along with DH and DD16. None of us is picky and we're pretty adventurous about trying new things but also love the basic fish, shellfish, steaks, etc. I LOVE the spicy kazan roll at Cali Grill and want to keep that reservation for the sushi alone, but may drop it just because I have been there before. Jiko sounds interesting but nothing on the menu really grabs my attention. Flying Fish sounds like lots of great choices for all of us - scallops, salmon, snapper, etc. We have had reservations at Yachtsman on three trips but we always end up cancelling because we can get a good steak at a lot of places and the menu doesn't seem that special to us.

How do you rank the above restaurants? Which would you drop from the list and why? Or which would you definitely keep?

I am going through the same thing, regret on cancelling AP for something else.

I can tell you FF, Citricos, Cali Grill and YM are incredible, great choices there

It's DxDP. Drop another breakfast, use snack credits for some pastries instead, and add AP without dropping any of the other signatures!

If I really had to, I would drop Yachtsman just because I can buy or make a great steak at home. Potato-wrapped snapper? Not so much.

I rank Yachtsman and Artist Point about the same. The only reason I'd keep Yachtsman in your instance is because you are staying right there and sometimes it's just so nice not to have to travel for that dinner meal.

Definitely keep Flying Fish and Jiko. I can get great sushi here so Ca Grill is not a must for us but I like it better than both Yachtsman and Artist Point.

I've never been to Yachtsman so I can't comment there.

If you really want to try AP, then I would drop CG since you've been there before. Try something new, and if you don't like it, you can go back to CG next time.

I would definitely keep Flying Fish and Jiko. They are amazing.

Keep what you have. We have ate at Artist Point several times and always found it just average. In fact out of all the Signature dining spots I would rank it last.

I really enjoy the signature restaurants at WDW :). For the most part you really can't go wrong, however there have been a few times where I've had bad experiences.

Yachtsman: I can't review fairly it b/c it was years ago and the menu looks to have changed significantly. I've heard it's very good right now, I wasn't impressed long ago though. I would like to give it a try on a future trip though!

Flying Fish: I used to really like this restaurant. However, I was disappointed with poor service and average food on a recent trip, but gave it another try and had the same experience soon after. Therefore I won't go back. Could it be I just had poor luck twice? :confused3

Citricos: EXCELLENT have been there twice recently and the food is outstanding!

Narcoosees: Very good, but for my time and money I'd go to Citricos in a heart beat. Nothing wrong with it, just better options out there in my opinion.

Bistro de Paris: EXCELLENT...best meal I've had on Disney property.

California Grill: Very good, great ambiance, love seeing the MK fireworks. Overall not quite as high ranked (for me) as some others but would definitely go back!

Artist Point: EXCELLENT...going back in a few weeks. Cannot wait as the menu has changed a bit and looks even better than last time I was there.

Jiko: LOVE it...absolutely love the unique menu, fabulous wine list.

Blue Zoo: NOT on the disney dining plan but honestly it's the best bet on Disney property for seafood. Blows away the competitors IMO. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Completely agree here!! I'd easily drop Flying Fish and go to Artist Point!! If you're truly looking for a great seafood experience, drop Flying Fish and go to Bluezoo (even though I don't think it's on the plan)...and Citricos consistently delivers great food and ambiance.

Definitely keep Flying Fish. Their entrees are very good every time we go and if you want really good steak, get it there. I can get good steak at home too but its very good there.
Jiko and Artist Point are just okay to me, we might try AP again in April, not this coming Nov trip, but I will say the mac & cheese side is EXCELLENT and the salmon was good. Jikos mussel app was very good but I don't see it on the menu anymore and the entrees & other app were just ok to not very good.
Cali Grill, we go a lot too so I was thinking of cancelling it for this upcoming trip. I also got sick on something I ate there in July, not that it would prevent me from going back in 2 months but its another reason for me to cancel this time around.
We always cancel YS too every trip, lol, but we are planning to go there in Nov, I think :lmao:
We love Brown Derby, its my favorite signature, just to throw another one at you.
If you want to try AP, I would cancel Jiko or YS (even though I've never been to YS yet either).
