Here are my top choices for our day at Epcot (we'll be there for lunch using our counterservice credits on the dining plan)

- Cantina de San Angel - looks good if we're in the mood for mexican

-Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe- looks interesting, deserts look incredible. What are the open face sandwiches??

-Sommerfest in Germany - looks good, chocolate cake sounds awesome.

Any help would be great!

I like the open faced sandwiches in Norway. Piece of bread, butter, then meat and cheese. Husband thought he could have used another piece of bread. I had to remind him that then they wouldn't be open faced anymore.

Not sure with the Mexican place (not big on "true" Mexican stuff - just meat and cheese for me that you very much) but at Norway and Germany, you can see what you are ordering before you get it.

Tangiarine Cafe in Morocco - fantastic.

We will be trying the Cantina. Mexican is the one thing the 3 of us agree on!

I agree with the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. Tried it for the first time on my last trip and LOVED it. The Shwarma (sp?) sandwich was SO GOOD. I can't wait to go back!!

O.K, so what is the Shwarma sandwich?? What's on it?

Mexico is good, you won't be disappointed. If you like asian food, the counter service at china (Lotus Blossom, I think) is also good. Their almond cookies are fantastic...

Cheers,
MG

We didnt like Mexico, food was just plain yuck. Tangerine Cafe was fantastic, the roasted chicken with olive salad or the meatballs were great. Germany for a brat and kraut and a pretzel is a nice choice, skip Japan it was very muchy and bland. Or the old standby, USA for burgers, dogs and chicken fingers.

try tangerine cafe for counter, great and tasty food.

la cantina counter in mexico is like going to taco bell.
not authentic, americanized food and not all that wonderful.

but if taco bell is a fave of yours, you would like this place

Hands down Seasons in The Land. The turkey and muenster sandwich was awesome. And they let us choose any dessert(which was unheard of on the meal plan at counter service) and all of them were wonderful. I had butterfinger cheesecake~ delicious and my dh had chocolate mousse cake also yummy. It was far and away the best counter service we had our entire trip.

My children did not like Mexico.

Their vote is for the Fish and Chips stand in England. That would be my pick too, but if I were looking for a snack, the pretzels in Germany can't be beat!

Never been to any of the restaurants in Morocco --

However, Fish & Chips washed down with a good ole Boddingtons while watching the "British Invasion" is a tradition for us.

As is the crepes in France.

Tried the counter service @ China last time and was pleasantly surprised.

I just love Epcot.

Would love to go there for Food & Wine someday....

I second the Land food court. The deserts are wonderful. We often just go by and get desert and coffee here while at EPCOT. Germany no longer has the great choices it use to have. the Chinese place is pretty good, but not sure about deserts. Absolutely avoid the Mexico CS place...everything taste the same no matter what you get...but the worse for us is the Amercian CS location...yuck!

I vote for the food court in the Land also, second choice is Morrocco.

The food from Mexico CS is not worth eating. It usually is soggy and like a previous poster stated, everything tastes the same. It smells there too - I think it comes from the margarita side of the stand. I wouldn't say Norway has a huge entree selection, but the desserts are great. China's CS is similar to what you would get in any take away Chinese restaurant. Germany has great bratwurst and pretzels. America has Sam Adams on tap which is always a good thing. Morrocco is wonderful and would probably get my vote as it is hardly ever crowded and the food is wholly satisfying. The patisserie in France has some light options and to die for pastries. England has the chip shop, but I don't recall it being that great - soggy if I remember correctly.

Seriously??? The Cantina is really that bad?

It's my favorite counterservice in Epcot (well besides the bakery in France). I think the food tastes good and my food has never been soggy. It doesn't taste like Taco Bell to me (I hate Taco Bell). I always get the tacos al carbon. :)

Well, I am glad it is getting atleast one good review, because we are definitely eating there.
