we took our first every Disney Cruise last year on the magic. I randomly picked a state room but now that I know what a cruise is like I have preferences. We liked being close to the soda and coffee machine that was on the pool deck. Besides the elevator flight our room was by the elevator and the elevator let out by the pool deck. We would like to replicate that with or future fantasy cruise. But I don’t knOw the layout of fantasy and what to choose. We would like adjoining balcony rooms. Any suggestions?

You can find the deck plan for the Fantasy here: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/ Hover over the "ships" link and then the "Fantasy" link, click on "Deck plans". Very easy to read. The drink station is between the mid-ship and aft elevators. I've circled the area on this picture. There are drink stations on both sides of the ship. Midship elevator is behind the screen on the left.

Oh yes... you said adjoining verandahs. Does that mean you want the connecting door in the room or just that the balconies can be opened up? If you want connecting inside, look for the door symbol in the room:

Note that deck 10 (one down from the drink station) has some verandahs that don't open, as they have a structural wall.

Just a note: in reservations talk - "adjoining" means two rooms that are next door to each other (with no interior connecting door) or rooms that are across the hallway from each other (obviously not connecting).

"connecting" means two rooms next door to each other with an interior connecting door.

We love this area of the Fantasy, it is located between the midship and aft elevators and they are great because you have you own little private hallway. All of them in this area connect with the next door. One little trick I’ll point out is the wall opposite of the door is where the head of the bed is, which is where the magical porthole is. The magical porthole has a real-time video feed of that area of the ship, meaning if the headboard wall is at the forward end of the ship, you’ll have a forward view feed, (rooms 9077, 9057, 9087, 9587, 9111, and 9611. The others will then have an aft view on the magical porthole. They are all standard insides except the purple rooms which are the deluxe insides, (split bath).

One of the reasons we like this location is there are rooms directly above and below, so it’s nice and quiet and deck 11, (soda fountains), is only 2 quick flights of stairs up.

9103 and 9603 are our favorite, because we like the aft view on the live feed, it’s very tranquil to watch. For what it’s worth, we’re a family of 4 and always cruise in connecting inside cabins. We did stay all 4 of us once in 1 balcony and at the end of that cruise, all agreed to go back to connecting insides. The extra room is way better than the balcony, in our opinion. We also like deck 8, but 9 is our favorite on the Fantasy.
