In two weeks DS has a fundraiser. The entire 6th grade holds a "garage sale" where they sell their unwanted items. What they sell needs to be geared towards the K-5 kids and gently used. DS has a few things in mind to sell, but it's not much. So, being inspired by Nancy's bakesale purse, I asked about making up some bakesale items and was told that was okay, as long as the items are "contained". If we go that route, I have nothing that appeals to boys.:confused3 Any suggestions?

I have also thought about cutting out some paper dolls and a few outfits from the cricut cart. I did this for DD and DNs, but the clothes (with tabs) didn't stay on very well. What I thought about doing is lamenating everything, then put velcro on them. Has anyone tried this and did it work?

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!:)

I just did that, but I only laminated the dolls not the clothes. I used really strong magnets on the back of the dolls and the cheap weak magnets on the clothes (since they are bendable and thinner and I thought they would hold up better over time.) I made the whole set from the cartridge and a few outfits I concocted on my own, plus a boy doll and a girl. I think it turned out great. The set will be a Christmas gift for my aunt (who is mentally challenged and loves toys). It took forever and a day to make them all, so I would only make a few per kit if you are going to sell them and stick with the easier ones like the ghost which is only one piece with no gluing.

If you have/know someone with a Xyron 500 or higher, you could get a laminating/magnet cartidge and run the dolls through that. You will have to manually cut out after to get rid of the extra laminating film...

I have a 550 (least I think that is what it is) and it would cost so much to laminate 50 outfits and cutting them out would be impossible. The was my original concept, but then thought better of it. I laminated both dolls with the xyron and cutting out their fingers was a PAIN! lol
