HELP! Lost Wallet

My husband just lost his wallet! We are flying out of Detroit through Spirit Airlines this Thursday (23rd)! His drivers license and credit cards, every picture ID he has was in his wallet. What do we do? Can he board a plane with no picture ID? He is going to Secretary of State first thing tomorrow morning, but they'll just issue a temporary license. Is that good enough? We are freaking out, please help!

if they do not you may want to try to get a police report of the lost wallet and the temp.

I know in Vegas TONS of people lose their ID's. The airlines accept a hotel security report as evidence and allow passengers to board. Best of luck to you.

If he does not have a picture ID, he will eventually be allowed to board. You will probably be asked to state that you know him, he is who he says he is etc.... (So if you get mad at him, just pretend you never met him. LOL) Then he will be "red carded". They will search everything and probably search you too. Give your selves a little extra time for the security and questioning.

It was pre-9/11, but here's what they did to a co-worker of mine a couple of years ago. The guy got to the airport and realized that he'd left this license in the handbar pack on my bike. He was allowed to board, but:
1) They stickered his boarding pass with a large "High Risk Passenger" tag.
2) He was required to report to the gate at least 60 mintues before departure.
3) This luggage was also tagged with big hot pink tags that instructed the handlers to load them last and be ready to yank them off the plane if the passenger didn't report to the gate as required.

Needless to say, we had a lot of fun at his expense!

Thanks for the help guys. We went to Secretary of State and Michigan does not issue instant photo ID's. He did get a temporary license. I called the airport and TSA and they said it would be okay. Just bring the paper license and whatever other identification we can.

I'm so glad it worked out okay and they are going to allow him with the temp. license! That had to be nerve-racking to lose the wallet on such short notice!!!!
