HELP! Looking for Carter's Bunny

I hope you find another bunny!!

My DD was also born 6/2003! DS is 4 now, and he never got attached to anything, but DD latched on to her brother's old "My Pal Al" toy and so we started letting her sleep with it. She doesn't carry it around -- in the morning she says "bye bye."

My mom tried to buy one for her house, but it had been discontinued and replaced with a new version with plastic/chewable feet. DD hated it! She liked old Al's felt feet and stroked her face with them. Kids are strange. :)

We took Al on a road trip to Florida last year and almost lost him a few times. I'm not sure how he made it through 6 different hotels/houses (long trip) but he did.

When we got home I realized how bad it would have been if Al had disappeared! I searched on Ebay and bought 3 more!! 2 were from the same seller and she probably thought I was nuts.

But now we have an Al for the crib, the car, grandma's and an extra. I think she needs him less, as she will sometimes take a doll or eeyore to bed now.

Gillian - My DD rubs bunnies tag on her face. It really calms her. Its funny how kids do things. My 2 DS's never got attached to anything.

An update to my saga - I found a very similar bunny on ebay. I just bought it. Lets pray she takes to the new bunny as a backup. I'd still appreciate it if anyone thinks they found or have a lead on the "real" bunny.

Thanks all!! :flower1:

my DS9 was attached to a blanket as a toddler, he would poke his fingers thru the weaving. We purchased a new one and tried it. Well he hated it. when the first one was unusabe he found anotherone he liked. I hope your DD will accept the new one.

I did have an idea. If you find one that looks alike. Maybe they can go into the same wash and your DD can get the new one from the dryer. It might work or she may just insist it isn't bunny no matter how hard you try to tell her it is.

On a good note we took the blanket with us to disney when he was 3 and it make me very nervous. :scared: after all it is a white crib blanket. I was afraid mousekeeping would skoop it up with the linnes so it got locked in a suitcase when we left ther room.

Best of luck. Sorry it seems so long
