My DD is in the kids race (1 miler) during the Princess Half Weekend. Its at ESPN and suppose to be at 10am. Do you think we would be able to make it to MK for a ressie at 11:45 at Crystal Palace?

Our kids did the races during the Wine and Dine in October. That one was a little different because it was at 4pm, rather than in the morning. The race started at least 15-20 minutes late and they did the races in waves. The 100m had about 4 waves and they waited for the previous one to finish before starting another group. They continued the waves for each age group. Traffic/ transportation was a little crazy as well, but I don't know if that was an exception or the norm for the races.

I would say no. That is pushing it too close. Like the PP said, there are waves of races based on age so depending on the entries, you could be waiting for a while. I would move it to the following day at that time if you can. You may enjoy it better after your own race as a nice reward for all of you! You would have plenty of time to get there and wouldn't be rushed. Good Luck.

I just wanted to add that in Jan. the mile run had a seperate start time after the other races. After our daughter's first race, we grabbed something to eat until it was time for the mile. When we got over there, they were just getting ready to start and everyone took off in one big group in the field as opposed to the waves that they do for the other "dash" races on the track.

But your transportation situation could make a big difference too, like the PP's said.
