HELP! I've created a Resort Snob MONSTER!!!

My DH has turned into a resort snob, also. Our trip last month was originally supposed to take place at a moderate, but slowly evolved into a stay at YC.

And don't even get me started about DD being a resort snob! Not just about Disney, either. Whenever anyone mentions that they're going on vacation anywhere, her first question is "What resort/hotel are you staying at?" She apparently has a mental list of every place she'd ever like to vacation along with a corresponding resort for that location. (Thanks a lot, Samantha Brown!!)

I myself am still just happy to be away from home. I'm as happy at Pop Century as I am at YC.

Since joining DVC, we will no longer stay at resorts unless it's YBC, OKW! DVC's accomodations are (in our experience) so nice, that we can't go back to the Hampton, Holiday Inn lodging anymore.

I think as you get more mature, you want the finer things. So, it's not that we are snobs, it's that we are getting older! ;)

My DD at 4 walked into PC and asked where the rest of the room was...DVC has spoiled her....I highly recommend it. Once you have all that room there is no turning back.

my niece did the same at the Polyn. 2-bedrooms at DVC definitely spoil you.

but I still like the studios, too!!!

I created one of those as well!

In 2000 I booked GF and DH fell in love with WDW and Deluxe accomodations at WDW!

We have since stayed at YC and WL and are booked again at WL this Oct and GF in 2006!!!

Dh is getting to be a resort snob too. His first stay was CR, he has since stayed at CBR and WL. He definitely prefers deluxes.

Count us in as resort snobs that eventually moved on to DVC. For those monorail only types, we hesitated joining DVC b/c we thought we would miss the monorail too much. Our first stay at the WL was great and we can't wait to "go home" for the first time in September to BCV. EPCOT is a close second behind MK for us so we opted for BCV to be able to walk to EPCOT. Now, if they ever converted a wing at the CR into DVC.... :cloud9:

LOL! DH and I started off wrong...our first trip together was our honeymoon and we stayed at the GF!

We also honeymooned at GF!

Just arrived back from POR, had to leave early due to me being ill. :sad2:

NO ONE was upset about it they disliked it ALOT. :rolleyes1

They made me promise no more trips unless it's a monorail hotel. :earseek:

I think POR is fine for the money, but I will oblige and only go when we can afford deluxe and keep everyone happy. :cheer2:

You guys are funny. I'm just the opposite. We stayed at nothing but deluxes until the price got around $300 and we decided to try Pop. Now that's where we always stay. More trips for the same amount of $$$. Maine :firefight

I would love to visit POFQ and visit, I have heard that it's beautiful. The only moderate we have stayed in was CBR. During that stay, we went to the Luau at the Polynesian and forget it, my husband wanted to move right then and there to the Poly. So last June we did Poly concierge, and found that not only are we deluxe people but, concierge people as well. I know people say you could spend the extra money and stop and get your own food, so on and so forth, but for us it was worth the extra money, and maybe more. It was such a wonderful experience. I did talk DH into booking the BWI concierge instead of the Poly for our 15th anniversary trip in August, but the family is stuck on the Poly for our December trip.
My name is Linda Ferry, and I have a problem. I need a monorail and interior corridors to make my vacation complete. :rotfl:
