Help identifying ears origin

Hello all, a friend found these ears at a thrift store and was wondering what/when they were from. I figured if anyone would know, it would be you awesome people. Thanks in advance for any help or info you can provide.

These were sold in all of the US Disney Theme Parks. I don't recall the specific year, but it wasn't all that long ago (within the last five years, I'd guess).

If you google Gingerbread Mickey Mouse ear hat you will find some photos and info. The Disney Parks blog mentions them, but no photo at the end of this post from December, 2011:
