Help! I need a lesson for 3-4 gr. boys for church tonight!

I usually take turns teaching the 5th and 6th grades girls class at church on Wednesday nights. Well, tonight I have to sub for the teacher in the 3rd and 4th grade boys class. I have no idea what to do with them. Can anyone give me some ideas? I'll have them for about an hour.

Bullying is in the news a lot right now. They're at a good age to think about this type of topic and how it relates to them. How about how to be a good friend? Do unto others and all that? How to accept and be accepted into a group?

Once you get your lesson topic down, you can Google for activities, games, crafts, snacks that go along with the topic.

If this happens to you a lot, you might want to have a resource on hand. Group Publishing has a wonderful series of lesson plans (complete, including scripts). It's called "Sunday School Specials" and there are 4 books in the series. I LOVE having it on hand when I'm called to do something last minute.

I taught children's church for about 3 years before I got too ill to continue. The sites the PP listed are fantastic. I also used dltk-kids.com - she has a lot of Bible crafts and topic crafts and lesson plans! I also used to go to amazon and use some of the samples if I got caught off guard like you and had to teach more lessons than I had planned on!
