I can't help it. I do this all the time. I'm not letting myself enjoy the anticipation because I'm thinking about how depressed I'll be to come home. Isn't there some kind of drug for the Disney post-trip blues?

Yeah there is. It is called disboards.com :rotfl2:

I know exactly how you feel. I am so excited about this trip but I don't let myself think past the first couple days because after that I start dreading having to come home. :sad2:

I really wish I could live at Disney World.

I know this will be an issue for me. I tend to get the post "event" blues for just about anything. The only thing I have ever found that helps is finding something else to look forward to. My husband and I are going away together (without kids) for the first time since our DS7 was born, next fall. I have deliberately done absolutely no planning besides choosing the cruise. This will give me something to really look forward to.

I was just thinking this very thing! I know that I need to go start packing, but if I pack it feels like the trip will be here and gone in the blink of an eye. I hate the few days before Disney even more than the days after.

I'd love to help, unfortunately, I have the sunday evening blues :guilty: , even though monday we'll be one day closer to our trips :sad2: I'm the one who doesn't like fridays because that means another monday is just around the corner :teeth:
So I'll just be empathic to you and tell you that I exactly know how you feel. :goodvibes. However, breing depressed about coming back is 100x than being deprerssed for not being able to go :thumbsup2

:thanks: for the help. I am going to Vegas next June (DH won free airfare :cool1: ) I'l have to start planning that.

back2WDW: I feel the same way about Sundays. It's weird. I actually like Thursday because Friday is still a day away and the weekend is coming. By Saturday afternoon I start feeling the blahs. But today is not so bad because this Friday, I'll be on my way :woohoo:

And LuvsMain Street, I am also putting off packing. Just can't commit.

Well the way i think of it is that coming back isn't so bad because then you get to brag about how amazing your trip was to your peers. and then you feel good to go get the pictures look back at the wonderful memories and remember" You CAn't but a price on memories that is why disney is so Supercalifragilisticexpialidociously amazing(Yes I can Spell it)

Now don't be getting the pre post blues cause your going to disney the best place on earth and your gonna have soo much fun that the disney magic will linger on until you go back.

And like Mistydoodles said The medicine is called the disboards

And put on that happy face

Hey, don't spoil my negativity :teeth:

Ok, this friday will be great, we're also departing that day... so... I'll now feel depressed about having to finish a project at work on thursday, and I'm actually working on that from home right now :surfweb: :lmao:

After writing this, now I feel much better and full with pixiedust . As a matter of fact Flyerfan, why don't we commit to writing a trip report when we come back? That will sure keep us remembering the magic!!. Besides, figuring out ways to share our experience and being creative will keep the returning-blues out of the way

captainhookedondisney: what about this happy face? :earsboy:
:thanks: for your cheering!!! :goodvibes
