Help, I know I posted earlier about fleas/ticks in Florida

but cannot find it...so if anyone knows if fleas/ticks are out in FL now, I'd appreciate it.

That's the thing about Florida...as everywhere. It's a trade off. Love that beautiful sunny weather, but withouth a real hard frost/freeze, the nasties don't die or slow down. So there are almost always fleas and ticks in Fla, but some places are worse than others. Where, specifically are you headed?

I would count on fleas in WPB. St Augustine, may be a bit better, but I would think about frontline or similar preventive measure.

Most definitely use a frontline. We did not have enough cold nights here North Florida to get rid of the fleas.

frontline is a monthly ritual here.

They're in FL year round. Definitely flea/tick protection for pets needed.

When I first moved to VA the vet here said keep up with it monthly for my dog as it doesn't get cold enough here to kill them off either. If SE VA weather doesn't kill them off, FL weather won't for sure.
