HELP...I just got a pin code, my trip is booked and paid, what to do?

What is the best way to begin receiving these offers? :confused3 I have received a few in the past, but nothing recently. phooey!

to answer the first question about what website I got my pincode, it was:
Disney Destinations [vacation@registration.disneyworld.com]

We are going for 7 nights to the Port Orleans Riverside with park hopper and the dining plan. There are 5 of us (all three children are over 10). I think the original pkg. was $3900. We did not get insurance. I did go in when the other package came out, I think the same one you are talking about Oct.-Dec. That saved me $300. Disney has put that amount on our account at the resort (we now have tips paid for). Then when we received the pin code we were able to get that too. Our trip now is $2700. I don't know if there was a penalty at all. I think I read that there would be a $50 charge and they may be right. I think when I first did our trip I figured the dining plan was costing us a little over $1000, and we are getting back $967.00 now having free dining, so that might make sense. It was worth whatever charge to get this much money back.

Now third question: someone asked how the best way to get these pin codes and I have no idea. We started looking into disney trips over two years ago and I've been getting e-mails from them ever since. I don't remember ever getting a pin code before or maybe if I did we weren't able to go at the time. I am just feeling very blessed at the moment. Just be patient and maybe a little pixie dust will float your way. Who knows, I have another friend who got the pin code and wasn't planning to ago and another friend who goes every year and didn't (she's not too happy). I think it's just a little luck.

Thanks for sharing your info. Based on your numbers, here's what I think happened in your case. (1) received AAA discount (2) gave up AAA discount to use Oct - Dec pkg discount...total savings with this code should have been approximately $525, thus the additional $300 credit you received (3) gave up MYW pkg discount to get free dining PIN discount. If they had given you the free dining in addition to the MYW pkg discount, your additional savings would have been more...5 Disney adults x $37.99 x 7 nights = $1329.65 instead of $967.

I am pretty certain that the free dining PIN is not only giving you free dining, but also allowing you to book at value season rates even if your dates fall into regular season. For example, if I put your info into the WDW site using value season dates I come up with a total package price of $2721.54 for POR Standard View, 7 nights, and 8-day PH (no dining calculated in, of course). I have priced out several other posters' packages based on this assumption as well and have come to within pennies of their total pkg price each time.

I realize all you probably care about is that you are saving so much money :thumbsup2 , but I just wanted to clarify that I don't believe Disney is allowing you to use BOTH the MYW discount and the free dining PIN since that seems to be the impression a lot of people are having.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

yeah!! My AAA just e-mailed me and I just saved $967.00! This trip is feeling magical and it's nice that we already have all of our ADR's booked well in advance! Thanks for your help!

Yippee for you..... so nice to hear your good news!:thumbsup2

I totally agree with you, I knew they were not stacking my discounts. I'm just happy with saving so much money after the trip was already paid for. I'm sure this we'll help answer others questions.

I don't blame you! I'd be thrilled...especially if I had 5 "Disney adults" to pay for on the dining plan. That really adds up! My oldest will become a "Disney adult" next year, but we are hoping to book the free dining bounceback offer for next year when we go in a few weeks.

I had seen several people posting on different threads thinking they were going to get a full credit for their DP in addition to the room discount they already had with the MYW pkg discount. Just hated for anybody to be disappointed when they found out that wasn't correct.

I think I said this before, but we'll be at WDW at the same time you guys will...here's hoping for safe trips and great weather!:)
