I booked my trip through AAA for 5 of us. Two adults and three children (all over the age of 10). We are paying for the dining plan. The pin offer I got today is as follows and I didn't include the pin # because I don't know all the rules on that, but I'm pretty sure we can't post. So, here it is...

Buy a disney vacation pkg. and enjoy hotel, theme park tickets and free dining plan 4-night/5 day pakg. at select disney value resorts including theme park tix and free dining for just $63 a night. based on a family of 4 9/28-10/11

We are going Oct. 4-11, but we are a family of 5. We can't even stay at a value resort without getting two rooms, so should I just be putting this out of my mind. I can't believe they'd offer free dining, that would be a lot off of what we owed. Any help please??

Call your AAA agent and give them your PIN code. They should be able to apply it to your existing reservation. It's offered at most resorts - however the rooms with the discount are limited and it's subject to availability.

Let your AAA agent know if you're flexible and wouldn't mind switching to a different resort to get the discount.

You still should be able to use your pin, call your TA....
Good Luck... please post what happened....

I've called her and gave her my info, she was surprised. She said she'd call, so we'll see. I'll let you know if anything "magical" happens.

yeah!! My AAA just e-mailed me and I just saved $967.00! This trip is feeling magical and it's nice that we already have all of our ADR's booked well in advance! Thanks for your help!

CONGRATULATIONS! :yay: That's the best story I've heard today! I can't believe you could get a pin code for a month away - they must be slow. Hope your vacation continues the magic.:wizard:

That must be such a great feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah for you :yay: :yay:

It is a really good feeling. We had free dining our last trip two years ago and we said then we'd pay for it if we had to, thank goodness now we don't! We also got the discount they just offered for fall and that was after we'd paid for our trip to, so we have a $300 credit waiting for us to pay for all of our tips. I never imagined getting such a blessing this close to our trip. The Lord truly does provide! Now I'm really doing the "happy dance"!

I had already booked and paid for our trip using another pin we got about a month ago, and then got this pin yesterday! I felt so lucky to have gotten the first pin so I couldn't believe I had gotten a second one. I felt sure they would not let us use it, but decided to call and give it a try anyway. The CM said no problem and poof! just like that I saved $406! Original price with first pin was $2494 for 2 adults, dd10,dd6, CSR 6 nts, PH passes and dining. New price with free dining pin $2088. Such a great surprise and what a blessing to actually get money back!

That is awesome :woohoo: I am consisdering joing AAA just for the discounts. Can I ask you if they are helpful planning your trip?

Well, that would depend on you I guess. We were already a member and I knew that it would save me some money up front (I think in the beginning AAA saved us $200, our trip originally cost us $3900). I liked picking our ADR's and being in control of that, so even though she offered to make our dining reservations, I told her I would do it. Control freak sometimes! The other $1200 in discounts I received in the last month actually came from Disney. The first was the fall special and then the pin # I received by
e-mail. My agent at AAA is considered a disney specialist, but when I called her with the first fall special she didn't jump at calling to check. She thought I'd already gotten the best deal. I had the other agent in the office call for me. She didn't hesitate when I called her with this pin #, I think she was doubtful, but she wasn't going to question me this time. I think she was really surprised with the outcome. My opinions are that if you go through AAA be persistent with them when you find a deal and you will probably have to find the deal for them. My TA didn't find any of these deals for me, but she had to call for me since my reservations were through them. Does t

Congratulations in the pin code! I have a question for you. If you don't mind me asking, what email address from disney destinations did the code come from? The reason I am asking is I would like to add that email address to my safe list. The filter on my email is very sensitive and I don't know if I would even get the email if I was fortunate enough to receive a pin code!:confused3 Again, congratualtions and I hope you have a magical trip! :goodvibes

The email address it came from was:

"Disney Destinations" <vacation@registration.disneyworld.com>
Hope this helps you!

If you don't mind me asking...where are you staying, what type of tickets do you have, how much is your total package now, and did you have any rebooking fees as a result of it being less than 45 days from your arrival? If you'd rather not post that info, that's fine. But the reason I ask is that I have a theory (which I posted on another thread) that this new FREE dining pin is giving you value season rack rate on your room even if your travel period falls into regular season. Using this theory, I have been able to match a couple of other posters' numbers. Just thought I'd try out another example and see if it holds up.

Don't know why I'm so interested...I haven't even received the new pin. But we have been going in October for the last 4 years and this is the first time I've seen such an offer so last minute. Also, some posters have said they are getting this pin on top of the Oct - Dec GP (or pin code) discount that has been out for a month or so. It would be very interesting if they were actually allowing you to "stack" discounts this time since that's typically not possible. Just trying to satisfy my curiosity I guess.

By the way, congrats on your great savings! We will be there 10/4 - 10/12 as well! :cool1:
