Help! I can never remember this

We have a March UY. We have a stay planned for June 3-7 using 2010 points. What would happen if we wanted to switch the dates to the following weekend, June 10-14, if there is availability? Thank you!

Modifying a reservation: 30 days -1 day before check in

All vaction points used to make the reservation will be put into a holding acct. in the UY in which the reservation falls. If the new reservations uses fewer pts than the original the remaining pts in the holding acct expire at the end of your UY.

Cancelling a reservation: 30 days -1 day before check in

All vaction points used to make the reservation will be put into a holding acct. in the UY in which the reservation falls. If holding acct points are not used by the end of the UY, they will expire.

As long as the new reservation uses the same number of points or more than the one being cancelled there will be no problem at all. If the new reservation would use fewer points, those extra points would remain in the "Holding Account" subject to the policy quoted above, but if the change is truly just a date change using the same number of points you will be fine - based on availability.

Thank you - I was hoping it would be a simple change of dates, as long as available.
Although I just checked and it would be a few more points for the following weekend.
