I was just getting things in order for our trip on Thursday and I realized I purchased 5 day 1 park w/ 4 fun visits instead of hopper passes with the 4 fun visits. I bought them through undercover tourist. Can I upgrade these at the gate or do I have to return these to undercover tourist (5% restocking fee) and purchase new ones at the gate. All help is appreciated. Thank you!

I thinks since you want to upgrade (paying more $$$ to Disney) it's ok, But info from another thread indicates that you should use the pass for one day to be able to get a gate value from them. If you don't use the pass at least once, then you'll get the value that the ticket was sold to the ticket broker. Downgrading, well that's another story!

I did the same thing! I bought what I thought was parkhopper tickets and waterparks when it was in reality 1 park a day with 6 funvisits...the website can be very confusing, the word with and and made the whole difference, I had a heck of a fight with the place I bought them at (through my job) but finally after speaking to the higher up people got the right tickets coming to us in the mail right now and the other ones were sent back the day after we got them.

I wanted to upgrade for another $200, not ask for any money back!

The web-sites need to cleary clarify better, with waterparks to me is WITH waterparks :confused3

That was not my experience. I upgraded before ever using the ticket and only paid the difference in gate price not the ticket broker price. Using 1 day or not should not make a difference.

How about downgrading? I bought 4 day passes, non hopper with waterparks. I found out I can't use them before I get to Disneyworld, and I'll be there a few days before I stay onsite. I had hoped to get them earlier, but since I can't, I wondered if I could downgrade to no waterpark, and then pay for the waterparks ala carte for one day. ???

I haven't called and asked yet since I'm guessing no . . .

The whole needing to check in before using tickets is very frustrating. If it weren't for the dining (not free, but at least the plan is a good deal) it would be better to not buy tickets with your room directly from Disney.

Call - it sounds like your tickets are part of the package and thus you do not actually have them yet. If you are outside of 45 days, you should be able to make any change you want with no penalty. If you are within 45 days, there might be a change fee, but you won't know if you would be charge one or not until you call.
