Hi everyone!

I am trying to decide where my family should stay- we have decided to finally stay deluxe after finding a great deal- just cannot decide which resort!
Can you help us choose and tell us why one resort would be better then another?

We have 3 kiddos, twin 7 year old girls and a 4 year old son. I would love monorail access but I am not sure it is as great as I am hoping it will be. We are going this November 21 through the 28th :)

We are trying to decide between Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, and the Poly...

Thanks so much everyone for your help!

Poly will be cheapest but you have to travel from building to building.

AKL is second but is the farthest away.

My Vote Wilderness Lodge.

I was thikning that too for the holiday, but the rooms are the smallest aren't they?

Although the Polynesian is the most expensive I think the monorail access with small chidren is priceless. My next pick would be WL, boat to MK and boat to CR where you can pick up the monorail. AKL is nice but it is rather remote.

Have a great trip!

We just got back from the Poly and the monorail is great! It was so easy to go to MK & Epcot as you can walk to the TTC and catch the Epcot monorail there as well.

We have a family of 5 as well and to stay at AKL the next time we went (all kids would be over age 3) we would have to book a 1 bedroom villa which is around $500+/night (there are no more deluxe rooms available -they are all villas now much to my dismay) and at WL we would have to book a deluxe room which sleeps 6 for I think it was $580 per night. I would pick the Poly if those were my choices.

Oh no- I forgot that we won't fit in a WL or AKL room unless we get 2 rooms, which ups the price. :(

You would absolutely LOVE the Poly, go with it if you possibly can. Not only can you get to the MK but you are right there at the T&Tcenter and you can take a monorail to EPCOT or a bus to anywhere.

I'd go with either the WL or Poly. They are close to the MK and your kids will love that. The ALK is too far and I'm not a fan of buses - plus having to keep up with three kiddies and their strollers, etc. Not fun.

Plus, being at either of those MK resorts, you can run back in the afternoon and take it easy. By the pool if it's warm. Have fun!

Of your three choices I would say Wilderness Lodge. But we stayed at the Yacht Club last month and after just one day, the entire family voted it number one -- leaping ahead of WL -- which was our previous first-place holder.
The pool is just amazing -- you have a 5-to-10 minute walk to Epcot -- and you are right by the Boardwalk area where you can always find something to do.
We also enjoyed just visiting each of the neighboring resorts -- Boardwalk and Beach Club.
The good news is -- whatever you choose, it'll be fantastic!! Have fun.

With 3 children I would definitely stay at Polynesian. The rooms are huge and the access to the monorail is wonderful. You can watch fireworks from the beach and the EWP also. We stayed at the Poly in September with our family of 4 adults and 2 children - two connecting rooms. Everything was so easy and the kids loved the monorail. The character breakfast is one of the best. I've never stayed at WL but have stayed at AKL. The rooms there are nice but quite a bit smaller. Their bus system is very good. I think you would be much more comfortable at the Poly.

With kids the monorail is a great feature. Id go with the Poly from your list, but would recommend the Contemporary, because if your in the tower you do not have to go outside to access the monorail.

How about the Contemporary Wing Room? There is a covered walkway from that building to the main building and you just walk up to the monorail or cut through the main building to get to the bus (or walk to MK). You'd get two queen beds and one day bed with 5. Rooms are very big - roomy for your family.

As there are five of you, it would probably cost you more for a room at AKL or WL. But all rooms at the Poly would sleep 5. So, I would definitely try the Poly.

WL is one of my favourites and so is the Poly but I wouldn't pay more to stay at WL than I'd pay for the Poly. Having access to the monorail really is worth it.

I haven't stayed at AKL yet, so I can't comment on there except to say that you'd be in a similar position - paying for a more expensive room that would sleep five.

With 3 kids I vote for the Poly wit h WL coming in a close second. Now my favoirte is BWI but I have no small kids so the easy acess to MGM and epcot is perfect for me.
The rooms are big at Poly smaller at WL but both are good choices no matter what you pick. I have never stayed at the Contempary
Have a FUNtastic trip, planning is even just as good :)

I have done this. Stayed at the contemporary. Was the cheapest and largest accomodations on the monorail line. Money was an issue for us. If you can swing it Poly is favorite choice. Rooms are largest at Contemporary!!!

I'd choose the Poly, but that's only because I'm DYING to stay there...I finally get my wish in December! :)
