I'm trying to decide on where to stay. The only available Universal Resort is RP. Please compare to Disney resorts. Cleanliness? Pool? Dining? Anything else you can think of. THanks.

are you trying to schedule for a certain time frame? is that why you stated only rph is available?

you can pool hop at the 3 universal pools. you stay in one but can go to the others. slides are so kewl at hrh and pbh. no slide at rph.

more cabanas at hrh then pbh. rph has only a couple.

each hotel has resturants.

Yes. I'm going to cancel a couple nights at Disney to do US/IOA. 4 nights during Easter week.

We have stayed at the RPR several times and we really like it. My teens prefer HRH but I like the RPR. The love the theme, the rooms have always been nice and clean. My 2 little ones love the pool there as well. They have a cool ship the kids can play on.
To me all 3 Universal resorts are right on par with the deluxes at Disney and if you arent interested in the restaurants in the hotel then CityWalk is just right around the corner and they have many places to eat.
I dont think you will be disappointed with your stay there at all.

It's a lot like Poly but newer. Tchoup Chop is better than O'Hana's, pool is bigger. RPR has always been clean for us.

I dont think you will be disappointed with a stay at RPR. I have in the past only stayed at Disney moderates and we liked RPR a lot better. The beds are very comfy and the room we stayed at was very clean. You will love how close the parks are walking distance or a short water taxi. Plus lets not forget fotl. If the choice is between RPR and offsite I would definatly choose RPR. Some of the other resorts might have nicer pools but as Raven said no problem pool hopping. We stayed in tower three and had a beautiful view of the pool and you walk right off the elevator to the pool area very nice. Also there are two hot-tubs and lots of nice sand for the kids to dig. I loved this hotel.

Love RPR. Have stayed @ all WDW deluxes and like service @ RPR much better!!!

We loved the RPR. It is newer and cleaner than Disney Resorts and the service is wonderful. You will be very pleased :sunny:

go to www.lowesfirst.com and get a lowes first card (its free) when you go to rpr you will have your choice of a free welcome gift (beer, wine, nuts, cookies...etc) and if available you can get a free room upgrade. I had this last year and it was awesome. they delivered two bottles of wine and a tray of cookies and warm brownies after we were in the room for one hour! they apologized they didnt have a room upgrade for the first night, but left me a message that first night saying to pack my bags and leave them by the front door because a king suite had become available and they put me in it for 3 nts. no extra charge. they cannot do enough for you.
