we think we're slightly crazy to think we can do our first family vacation in disneyland with twin toddlers that are 3 and a 6 month old baby :) we've gotten everything planned, hotel, flights etc, but the following stump us, and we hope someone can help with the advice.

how can we get from LAX to disneyland with 2 toddlers and 1 baby, if we are not planning to rent a car, and not planning to bring the toddler car seats (too much stuff to carry around, the baby car seat and stroller, plus twin unbrella strollers are stuff enough)

anyone know if limo services can provide car seats? bus services don't need car seats? numbers we can call to ask questions?

or is my choice narrowed to renting a car with rental car seats?

help!

thanks

My DH went to a conference in Anaheim and stayed at the Paradise Pier hotel. He did not rent a car because the convention center was so close, and came from the LAX airport too.

(We have flown into LAX as a family, but have always rented a car, since there are 6 of us, and it was cheaper. We also liked having the freedom of mobility, since we usually visited Knott's Berry Farm too.)

He used a service called Super Shuttle. They leave from LAX all the time, and it costed him no more than 20 bucks. But remember that it is per person, so that might add up for all of you. If you do a search for Super Shuttle (under the California Disney forum of course) I am sure you can find alot of threads about it....both the good and bad. It will have all of the details like price, how to set it up, the number to call, everything.

thanks michelle2, will we need carseats on super shuttle, or would they provide them? we're not planning to bring along the car seats for the twins, as it would be too much to move around. BTW, we're planning to stay at the Grand Californian. Please help! Thanks in advance.

We used the Best limo and got the phone number thriught Disneyland hotel.
they also have a web page. I have used them several time and they are great.
always always on time :wizard:

I am sorry, I have no idea about the car seats, but I bet the link the other poster provided would give you that info. That Best Limo also sounds like a great idea. I am sure that they would provide carseats.

And have a great time at the Grand Californian. You made a great choice, it is my all time favorite Disney hotel! :teeth:

I will be going to Disneyland in a little over a week and have done a lot of research on this because we are also traveling with a toddler (14 months) and we are flying into LAX and not bringing a carseat. We will be going to Disneyland on the Airport Bus because infants and toddlers DO NOT need to be in a carseat on a bus. They are allowed to sit on an adult's lap. If you travel by car, which include taxis and vans, then they need to be strapped into a carseat which you need to provide. Carseats can be rented from rental car agencies if you rent a car. We are bringing our own stroller. The price for the Airport bus is $19.00 one way or $28.00 round trip for adults and $16.00 one way or $20.00 round trip for children ages 3 to 11. It sounds rather pricey but will work out better for us than to rent a car since we won't need a car once we get to Disneyland. The website for the airport bus is: www.airportbus.com
Hope this helps.

mimichan, thanks for the tip! do you know if the no carseat allowance applies to shuttle vans (oops... just noticed that you said it also applies to vans)? Also, how far is the airport bus station from baggage claim? i'm wondering how far my family has to walk to reach the bus station. Thanks so much for the help!

I know there is a Super Shuttle van that also supplies transportation to and from Disneyland but since it is a van I'm assuming that you need a carseat. You should be able to call them and ask them if a carseat is needed in their vans. Regarding the Airport Bus, the bus pick up area is just outside the baggage claim area. If you look on the Airport Bus website, it tells you everything you need to know. After exiting the baggage claim area, it says to proceed to the center island. The Disneyland Resort Express picks up underneath the overhead Green sign. Hourly departures are between 6am and 10am. Departures are every 30 minutes between 10am and 7pm, then hourly departures again between 7pm and 12am. For the return from your hotel in Anaheim back to LAX, you need to check the brochure that you can download from the website. It tells you all the departure times and what time you should reach LAX. You can plan which departure to take depending on when you need to be at the airport. If you click on the transportation link at the top of the discussion forum, it takes you to a page with information on transportation. Hope this helps you.
