I bought my boyfriend NY Rangers tickets for Christmas. They're very good seats and I know he'll be excited because he's only been to one game and really wanted to go to another.
HOWEVER!
I want to present them in a fun way that will knock his socks off. I was thinking about nesting boxes, but that seems a bit cliche...any ideas would be SO appreciated!
The game is Jan. 5th and they're playing the Pittsburgh Penguins, if that inspires anyone!

Being that it's hockey I recommend dropping your gloves and attacking. Pull his sweater over his head followed by a swift uppercut. He'll drop in seconds allowing you to present the tickets.

If you're the fightin' type you can always buy a hockey puck and attach the tickets to it.

One year I got DH Giants tickets, I put them in a box (shirt box size) filled with copy paper. He thought I was insane giving him paper until I prompted him to leaf through some of it. I also made a sign and put that in there too.

If you don't mind me asking, how much $ were they & what site did you use? I've been thinking of giving Dh Ranger tix for christmas.:goodvibes TIA!!!

Oh yeah almost forgot, maybe buy him a Ranger hat & tape the envlope w/ tickets inside the hat?

Just be sure that they are firmly attached to something easy to see. It's awfully easy to lose little pieces of paper in the chaos of Christmas wrapping paper.

you can play in the living room...LOL

I have put them inside of a harlequin (sp) romance novel, both DH and DS thought I lost my mind when they opened the books, the look on their face was worth the $8 it cost me to buy 2 books noone would ever read!! Another time I stapled the ticket to the tag of a shirt. Last year I got them NFL tickets as we were going to be in California and they are both huge football fans, this time I made up a sign on the computer that read "are you ready for some football", but didn't include the tickets. I usually order the NFL package from our cable company and it starts around their birthday, so they just figured that's what it was. Boy were they shocked when I brought out those tickets, it was funny though I asked on the DIS how to surprise them and I got back replies "your sending them to the black hole" "good luck, tell them not to cheer" "tell them to be careful and I was :scared1:

Okay, I just asked my DH for ideas... He was NO help!!!!

He is like, just give them to him..
Men don't care about 'nesting boxes' etc...
The presentation is not important... He's a man...

:rotfl2:

But, I do have an idea...
If he does not have a nice Rangers jacket, then that would be a MUST to wear to the game! He will think, wow, a nice gift.. a Ranger's jacket... Then, WOW!!! what does he find in the pocket... tickets!!! :thumbsup2

Ticketmaster, and $244 for two tickets

I was going to suggest putting them on the tag of a hockey jersey, maybe a Penguin's jersey if you want to be funny.

I like the idea of getting a gag gift and putting it in that.

since you already spent alot of $$ on tix you probably don't want to spend more on a jersey. How about a mug/beer stein, etc w/ the Rangers logo that has the tix inside? Or a hat?

What about a few smaller presents Prior to tickets? ALL in the Ranger logo
Key Chain
Hat
Sweatshirt
T Shirt

Anything that has a Ranger logo on it
