Once again, I think all of us need to be careful in judging anybody. I would bet all of the details are not in this story and it sounds like a heartbreaking situation for everybody. I feel sorry for everybody - the OP feels rejected and left out of a Disney trip. Her friend is stuck right in the middle - trying to meet the needs of the OP plus her other friend who had certain expectations - who maybe just needed a little time to adjust. And the "other friend" - who knows what she's feeling - maybe guilty, maybe worried because she doesn't know the OP very well - There may not be any true bad guys in this story
I think skater is right. Sometimes you gotta give the situation a little time, and get over the initial emotion of it to see things more clearly. Although it is true that I was in on it initially, that was over four months ago, and since then, they have built a trip around the two of them. This lady does not know me well at all. I can see where it would throw her to find out I might be coming. I feel like I must defend her because she really is a super nice woman who has been a very caring friend to my friend. I guess I truly was not thinking about anyone but myself!! It is SOOOOOOOOOOO hard to think about others where DisneyWorld is concerned!!!!
