I have been to the World more times than I can count, but have never done the Fantasmic show. DBF and I will be down there in May, and I was thinking I really need to find out what all the fuss is about. I definitely want to do the dinner package because I am no good waiting in lines. I am a picky eater, and have been going back and forth between H&V and MM. I am drawn to H&V because of the great selection. Here's my dilemma and where I am in serious need of opinions/advice. I have never done a buffet before. I don't know whether they were simply not highbrow enough for my parents or what, but I have never been, and as I said I find myself very intrigued by H&V because of the great selection. My question is, will I feel out of place at a buffet? - are kids putting their hands in all the food - is it mass hysteria? I am just not sure and would love to hear what this is like and what people's experiences have been.

Thanks so much!

You should be fine... we went to H&V the las time we were there and it was fine... if I remember correctly they put the childrens selections kindof on their own serving area - so you won't need to worry about those little hands... the food was good - not exceptional - but there was a good variety and for my picky family that was just what we needed. The staff was great as well.. good luck with your choice

We did the Fanstasmic Dinner Package at H&V a week ago Thursday. I would highly recommend it if you are interested in seeing Fanstasmic. The package doesn't cost any extra $, it is great not having to wait in line for the show, and I think you will really like Fanstasmic!

I wouldn't worry about the buffet. It is not mass hysteria. There is a separate section of food for kids and there are two separate lines for "adult" food. When we were there, the restaurant was packed, but we didn't have to wait in long lines for our food. My family liked the selections of food offered too. The food was replenished often and was fresh and delicious.

We've done the Fantasmic Dinner Package twice and both times we've gone to H&V...mostly because it was the least expensive! We were pleased both times. The food was very good. It was hot and fresh...I go crazy over the cornbread "stuff"...don't know the exact name, but it's yummy. We always go at the busiest time of year, Easter week, and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated with our PS.
Some people complain about where the Dinner Package seating area is located at Fantasmic!, but it isn't so bad and it is worth it to me not to stand in line forever. We still go about 30 minutes prior to the show, though. ::MickeyMo

My husband, 2 daughters and myself ate at Hollywood & Vine on Saturday evening, February 24th.

My husband and I ended up in the hospital with suspected food poisoning from 9:30 a.m. Sunday until 6:30 a.m. Monday morning (21 hours out of a 5 day vacation)

Did anyone else dine @ H&V Saturday nite and get sick?
