Help! Going as a WDW tourist for Halloween and need your ideas!

Tomorrow begins a festival of sorts at work for the week and since I am in charge of it (yippie) I have to participate in the costume contest tomorrow. I was planning on just safety pinning an extra pair of sleeves from an old blue sweatshirt to a blue sweater, wear DS's Stitch ears and a lei and call it done, but I can't find those ears anywhere!!!

So after coming up with all the alternatives (we have Mickey pirate ears, Goofy pirate ears, I could wear DH's Cubs hat and such and go as a Cub's fan, etc) DH finally said, "why don't you wear a camera around your neck and DS's Mickey ears and go as a WDW guide/tourist?"

Sooo...that's what I'm a gonna do. But I want to be an over the top WDW tourist - so here is where I need your help! What do you wear to the parks? Not just the T's and shorts, but what do you bring? I have a wallet on a string to wear around my neck...a camera...a DVC backpack...sunglasses on my head....WDW pins...etc. But I am trying to get it just perfect. Totally over the top So let me know your ideas! I am actually excited about this. I hate wearing costumes, but this one will make everyone laugh (I have a bit of a rep at work for being a WDW addict )

I think you've got it pretty well covered. LOL Do you have a UG or another guide book or two you could be carrying?

How about a fanny pack instead of a wallet on a string? I associate fanny packs w/ WDW more than wallets. Do you have any park maps?

Don't forget a LOUD hawaiin shirt, maybe a big straw hat too? An unfolded park map. Ohhh... bermuda shorts, you gotta have the bermuda shorts.Have fun.

The one thing I could think of is a fanny pack. Are you wearing a disney t-shirt? Oh, a water bottle and do you have one of those mister fans? maybe a Disney balloon and a theme-park type of snack. Have fun!

I work at WDW, and we had someone dress up for Halloween ( CM's can dress up with certain guidlines for certain days ) - and he dressed as a tourist to come to work.

Don't forget Pal Mickey hanging off your belt, and a mister fan bottle around your neck, too.

How about 4 or 5 wristwatches all on your wrist, and perhaps a stopwatch around your neck? Maybe one of those little walkie talkies. A box of popcorn or soda cup, and of course, a disney ticket or fast pass or two.....

if you can find any or have any yourself, get lots of park maps! and sunscreen , and hang a camera around your neck!

Make sure you have extra copies of your touring plan printed out to share with others! Perhaps take several reference guides in case something is closed for the day.

Do you have a plastic bag from a souvenier shop at WDW? And if possible, try to make sure your guide book is a well-worn one. This reminds me of the streetmosphere characters in MGM who dress as loud tourists and sit right in the middle of the Main Street (Hollywood Boulevard?) They always have their camera, well-worn Birnbaum's guide, plastic bag of souveniers, sunglasses, and pin lanyards. And yes, the man has his loud Hawaiin shirt.
