Help getting a deal on a car rental? Anyone used Alamo through Long Beach?

We're flying into Long Beach. I booked a package through Costco for hotel and DL tickets and added a car rental but now I'm not sure that's such a great deal. Also, they booked me with Alamo and they aren't listed on the airport's car rental companies so I'm not sure how that will work? They are charging me $260 including tax for Wed. through Sunday in October for a minivan. I may downgrade to a full size since it looks like we may not need the minivan after all. What deals have you found? Thanks!

It appears that the $260 for a minivan isn't all that bad. Because you are only going for 4 days you do not qualify for a weekly rate so you have to pay an inflated daily rate.

If you go through Budget you can use the weekly coupon... We are going to be there Wed.-Sun. and are using the weekly coupon.

I'll give you the same advice that I gave on another thread:

Call Alamo and ask for a quote with your dates using the BJs Wholesale Club discount. When you see how much it is, you may just want to get a BJ membership. It saved me almost $200 from DTD for a week in July, dropping off at Burbank. Total came out to $132 for a full size from 7/24-7/30/07.

What I want to make sure is.. if I added the Alamo car rental through my Disney Travel package, I don't have to pay anything else when I turn in the car right?
