Help! Free dining Nov 9 - 15, My trip is Nov 4 - 12???

I just saw the offer for free dining, but our trip starts Nov 4 and the FD doesnt start until Nov 9, but we will be there for four days of the offer. I am a disney visa card holder. Does this mean I cant get the FD since my the offer doesnt cover my beginning date? I think I already know the answer, but Im praying Im wrong.

Sadly, you aren't wrong. Free dining has to be available on the 1st day of your trip.

You could do a split trip though and check out/check in so that you could take advantage of free dining for part of your trip.

You could book a room only reservation for 11/4-11/9, then book the free dining package with your tickets for 11/9-11/12. You can pick up your tickets up to three days in advance, but that means that you wouldn't be able to get your tickets until 11/6. Could you move your dates back by just a day or two, maybe arriving on 11/5 or 11/6? That would make the whole scenario more doable. You could also book two separate packages, the first for 11/4-11/9 paying for one day base tickets and dining, then book the free dining package for 11/9-11/12, with the rest of your tickets (which you wouldn't be able to access until 11/6)-- not sure if that would save you any money, though-- you'd just have to run the numbers. You could as suggested = split the trip into 2. Dont know if this interests you, but you could do the first 4 nights at Universal Studios, then the last 6 nights at WDW with free dinning. If this appeals to you, check out the US thread. Staying onsite at US gets you front of the line access. Pass holders at US also get special room rates, so it might even out price wise. I'm more a WDW fan than US, but it's one I'd consider if my dates were locked in. There is also a pass you can buy that includes US and I think Seaworld - check out Undercover tourist? I've done a few split vacations at WDW, so you could also stay at two of your favorite resorts and maybe use the first four days to do stuff that didn't involve WDW parks - like DTD, cirque, pool days, special dinners that aren't included with free dining, etc. - check options under the WDW website under dinning events. Can you check in 3 days earlier on 11-1? If you checked in on 11-1 instead of 11-4, you could get FD for your whole trip.

Feel your pain, we're going 11-5 to 11-10 and most likely unable to change our dates.
