I want to take my DD10 to see the new Harry Potter stuff- she wants to walk throug the castle line and see the deatils, visit the stores, etc and then we would see the rest of IOA. What else might she like? Soarin' is the most adventurous thing she does- she loves Peter Pan, Pooh, Haunted Mansion, Pirates. Also, how spinny is Cat in the Hat?

IoA might be tough if the craziest she goes for is Soarin'. She should be fine on the Cat In The Hat. The spinning used to be pretty aggressive for a little kids ride, but nothing frightening and it only lasted in short bursts. I have heard they have somewhat slowed down the spinning as of late.

She would probably be OK on Flight of the Hippogriff and Pteranodon Flyers (both kiddie coasters).

Spiderman does not have any "real" drops, as it is a 3D moving ride, but is more intense than Soarin'. However, if she were to close her eyes, as long as loud noises didn't bother her, she would probably be ok.

Other than that, you'll probably want to check out Poseidon's Fury (a walk-through attraction) and the Sinbad stunt show.

If your daughter has been on Kali River Rapids, she will be ok on the Popeye ride - just keep in mind you will get EXTREMELY wet.

Keep in mind - the HP castle is the queue for the Forbidden Journey Ride. So, you'll have to exit before boarding the ride. However, I understand that the stores in HP land are a big hit with HP fans, so you should be able to spend some time there, too.

She might do a lot better over at the Studios (ET, Shrek, Men In Black, Twister, Disaster, Jaws - these are more about special effects than they are about any type of "thrill"). So, you might want to consider getting a 2 park ticket and splitting your time between the two.

There's quite a few good shows at the Studios you guys could check out as well. :)

Is the Cat in the hat similar in spinning to Toy Story Mania? Is it more, same, or less?

Cat in the Hat only spins two or three times now I think. It used to spin a lot more but it was recently changed.

Yeah, DD (7) still loved it but we just looked at each other and shook our heads. IMO I don't like it as much now without the spinning :( I made sure to let them know that we liked it better with spinning but that doesn't mean they will do anything about it :)
