Well after months of hunting, searching and counting the pennies I have finally saved up enough to book up.

Will be my first time abroad at the age of 37 and the fulfilling of a promise I made to my 9 year-old daughter that my first ever trip would be to take her to DLP. She is still jumping up and down.

Flights= £140 easy jet
Hotel (Premierre Class, Noisy le Grand) = £102
DLP tickets (hopefully through the Danone voucher) = £50

I know the hotel might be budget end of the scale but I'm hoping we only use it for sleep.
On the whole I am happy at putting that together so cheaply but....and here's where your help and advice would be so much appreciated.
Are there any other tips for our stay.

Cheap RER tickets.
Tips for saving money at DLP and Paris (as we will be spending a couple of days in the centre).

And most of all - any idea on when the parades are or what I should prioritise once at DLP - would hate to spend most of the day walking around cluelessly and missing everything. I aim to get there a good half an hour before opening so we get in fairly sharp.
Am I right in thinking we buy tickets and then get them stamped for a fast pass on a ride?

Sorry to be a bit vague but I'm excited yet scared of mucking up the trip at the same time.

Hope everyone has a fab time.

ooooooh you're in good hands :rotfl:

Schedules are usually released 2 weeks ahead I think, take a look at the current one for an idea of whats going on and when http://news.disneylandparis.co.uk/UK/EN/Neutral/Images/ShowsAndParades.pdf

For fastpasses you take your ticket to the ride you want to get it for and somewhere outside that ride they'll be a fastpass booth, not all rides have them, here you scan your tickets for fast passes to return to later :goodvibes

Gosh, didn't know they printed a parades schedule - thanks so much for that.

Didn't know how the fast pass thing worked either - so thank you again.

Feeling better already....

Hello :)

Just a couple of things

Why Noisy le Grand ? I know you say that you are on a budget but it's not a great area to be in at night and you aren't right next to the RER station.

If you want to be outside of Paris and can't find anything at Val d'Europe I'd look at Torcy which is closer and nicer or Buissy St Georges which is closer still and dead at night

How many days are you going to the park for as there is maybe better than the Danone tickets that are for 1 day/2 parks - you have the Francilien été tickets that might work

Concerning the transport tickets your daughter will pay half price and you can get 2 carnet (car nay) of 10 tickets which will let you do the trips from the park to your hotel which is in zone 4 and then another carnet at a different price that will let you go from your hotel into Paris.

I can find out the prices for you tomorrow if you like

you can pick up a daily schedule on your way into the park (they are free) - this will tell you the times of the parades/fireworks/official meet and greets/shows etc

It can seem really overwhelming but take some time read some trip reports before you go and the magic will take care of the rest :wizard:

Thank you very much for your help/advice - yes that would be so helpful and I appreciate it very much.

As for the hotel, I emailed the hotel and they replied they were 200m from the RER and there was no reason to worry about walking to and from the RER station. Going to price Buissy and Torcy now though to see what they have on offer.

We are initially having one day in the park but realistically I think I will succumb and have two if daughter asks.

I have had a look at what I think is the Francilien site and the tickets are much cheaper - particularly the Mickey Wild West show. However I couldn't book as when it came to the address part of booking I couldn't change the country from France.
Is there any way around this?
Thank you again.

The billet été Francilien 2 days wouldn't work for you as the 2nd visit has to be 7 days after the first :sad2:

So I think for the moment the most interesting offer is with Danone

For BBWWS you have the Billet Malin
http://idf-offres.disneylandparis.fr/offres-speciales/wws-special-offer.xhtml
and you can get round the UK thing by putting your hotel address or you could order them from another site like Carrefour or the Fnac and go and pick them up in one of their shops
Have a look at this thread

Concerning transport

If you are going from zone 4 (Noisy le grand) into Paris or vv it's 3,20€ single ticket and 1,60€ for under 10s. A carnet of 10 tickets would be 25,60€ and 12,80€

I'll ask this afternoon at the station for going from there to DLP and update

Noisy Mont Est is ok in the day as there is lot's of offices close by plus the shopping center that is built over the RER/Bus station. At night it is semi deserted with groups roaming around and it's a bit grim. I'm not saying that it's a total no go zone or dangerous unlike Noisel but depending on where you live and what you are used to it's to be taken into account.

Torcy has a shopping centre and a eating centre which is open late so you always have more people out and about eating, walking and going to the cinema. It's a better area at night around the Rer.

Bussy is a new town, very safe, not many eating options people . It's more like a dorm town

Ideal is Val d'Europe as you are close to Disney and have lots of eating options and it's clean and safe

Or look at youth hostels in Paris if you will be spending more time there as there are a few good options that shouldn't cost the earth and have have double rooms if you didn't want a dorm set up:goodvibes

First off I just wanted to say Hello fellow Sunderlander!! :)

I hope you have a great time on your trip :)

and, if you have an iPhone, or know anyone with one, theres a Disneyland Paris app so you can check out the rides etc, and it has the parade and show times

Hope you have a great trip :goodvibes your DD will be on cloud 9!!
Your trips not far off now!!
Take advantage of the fastpasses. We found them brilliant when the parks are a bit busy.
Also if the parks busy and you want to do the Parachute Drop theres a single rider que if you and your DD dont mind not sitting together. You wont be waiting half as long to ride.
Have you booked the hotel already?

Hi to my fellow Sunderlander, we get everywhere don't we. Don't have an iPhone but am now aware where I can pick the necessary leaflets up.

Carrie_Cat, thank you so much for taking the time to help, you are a star. I am going to email the hotel to see if they will hold tickets for me if I order them at their address. If not I will try to find where one of the pick-up stores are for the other sites.
Thank you for the advice on Noisy, we will be returning fairly late - I am hoping the fact I am over 6ft and well built that we would be quite safe for the short walk.
The carnet of tickets sounds ideal.
I hope the Danone offer is available on the day with my voucher.

Am I right in thinking that after buying a ticket we just use it inside to get a fast pass for a ride by putting it into a machine.

Am still hunting for bargains, will report any I find.

Thanks again everyone

Yes this is right. Only some of the rides have a fastpass machine and you can only collect fastpasses for a certain time slot. So, for example, say at 1pm you went to get a fastpass for Big Thunder Mountain - the clocks above the fastpass machines might be showing "3.00-3.20" (they only give out a certain amount of fastpasses for each slot, so on busy days they will run out quicker and the time may be further away).
You would then insert your park entrance tickets into the machine and receive printed fastpasses with that time slot on it. Then you can go do other things for a couple of hours, return to Big Thunder Mountain between 3-3.20pm and get on to the ride in the fastpass lane.

Hello :goodvibes

Concerning the BBWWS, the tickets aren't sent anywhere you go and pick them up on site, the address is due to the fact I think that these were special priced tickets for France even if in reality everybody else who can uses them.

If it doesn't work on their site, and several people find their cards refused, order them from either Carrefour or Fnac and both of them have a counter in the Arcades shopping cnetre which is just above the RER there in Noisy

http://www.arcades.fr/127-14363-arcades.fr.php

It's about 600 m to your hotel and if you go onto Google street maps you can check out the main part of the walk before you arrive at the shopping centre

And fastpasses work like you think, certain rides have fastpass possibilities and are well worth using in the busy periods

Will update with the ticket price Noisy-MLV as soon as I get to a ratp ticket office as mine which is Sncf couldn't give me it yesterday :sad2:

Carrie-Cat, you should be paid for the help you provide on here - thank you. The Link to the shops at Noisy has helped a lot, I am going to try to order tickets to pick up there.

Have checked out google map, seems a short enough walk though if there are taxis hanging around I still might jump in one even if its just up the road.

Thanks again, feel like I am starting to become organised :cool1:

Theres an offer on Disneyland Paris Facebook page for BBWWS if that helps :)
You just print the coupon and you can get you and one other person in for 29€ each

Shame you can't just print it off..I don't like the idea of them accessing all my information including friends and that :sad2:

I don't know of anybody using it either, will have a look on DCP :)

You can take away their access after you print the coupon though XD

Wonder what info it keeps though :confused3 Are you going to try it when you go ?

I dunno if they can use any of the info after you take away the access though :/

I printed off a coupon, but it looks like my little brother doesn't want to go now so i'm not too sure, plus I'd imagine it would be fully booked by now
