Help for 1 day two parks!

Heading on a moms only trip with friends in early May,
leaving kiddies and hubbies home and going to Vero Beach.
We decided we are going to hit Universal Studios and Island of Advertures for one day, thinking of going on Monday May 7th,
how are the crowds around this time?
any discounts site or tips for buying ticket for one day for both parks,
would it be worth getting the line skipper option for this time of year,
any suggested restaurant that stands out!!!
parks are only open till 7pm, so want to make the most of the time we!
and money saver tips welcomed!

Early May is a great time to go. There aren't discounts on one day tickets but purchasing them in advance at undercovertourist will probably save you a little bit. There is a restaurant sticky at the top of this forum that you can check out for food suggestions. I wouldn't purchase the express pass in advance. Wait and see if the crowds warrant (which I doubt they will) and if so then purchase it inside the park.

Now we just booked our flight and we are flying out of Orlando,
so on our way back from Vero Beach think we are going to stay at hotel instead of driving back and forth,
any suggestions on staying for one night,
is it worth staying on onsite hotel for perks,
going May 8th to May 9th!!!

it's worth it to me to stay on site.

no rushing around in the morning getting organized before you hit the parks.
just wake up, drink coffee and go to the park.

easy peasy.

how many in your group?

you can have 5 (kids and adults) per room or 4 adults per room.
there is a $25 nightly fee for the adults if there are more than 2 adults in the room.

first two adults, no additional charge for the 3rd/and 4th adult the extra fee is incurred.
