We are going to be coming dec 12-18th (6 nights)

we have 3 adults and 3 kids (1 is only 2 though so no plan for him)... The other 2 kids are 4 (girl) and 7 (boy)... at the time of our trip....

We are getting the basic dining plan with the military rate....

I am trying to figure out how this will work out and how much (if any) we will need to come OOP for meals.

I really would like to do something girly/princess-y for my 4 year old... she loves the princesses, minnie, etc.

& would also like to do something that my older son would be thrilled over involving characters or something (You know to keep it even steven between the kids :)

The baby will just roll with the punches....

& thought of doing something like a dinner show... I see several of the character meals or =dinner shows use 2 TS credits... So question is how might be best to work this so that we can get as much bang for our bucks???

Any advice it appreciated. This is our first family trip to disney and my mom is coming too (she has never ever been!)

CRT for your DD and breakfast at Ohana with Lilo and Stitch for your DS....

Awww, you all are going to have a wonderful time. The two character dinners that came to my mind, that we do every time, are Chef Mickeys & 1900 Park Fare. Chef Mickeys will be great for your son, and everyone else as well. The characters are quite funny.

At 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, you will have a buffet dinner with Cinderella & the Prince. The step sisters & step mother are there now too, and I have heard that they are hilarious. Your little girl would really like this place. Even my DH wants to go back. :rotfl2:

As for the dinner shows, I have never done one because I hate to give up a meal one night for it, but I have heard that they are great.

Good luck and happy planning!

CRT is Cinderellas Royal Table in the castle in the Magic Kingdom...2 TS credits and includes a photo package w/Cinderella.

The Akershus Princess Storybook Breakfast is pretty good food, family style, all you can eat and great interaction with the princesses. We met Mary Poppins, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan and Jasmine...it also included a photo package w/the meal.

Your son may like Chef Mickeys..it is a bit frantic, but has Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto, and is a buffet w/many choices. Ohanas is a good choice too.

Crystal Palace is in the Magic Kingdom and has the Pooh characters and is also very good.

I am trying to figure out all of our meals too!

thanks for clarifying that for me! I am trying to learn all this dis lingo!

I am not sure how much my son will be into mickey, etc. I guess I need to explore the options for him... We haven't told the kids we are going for sure, although the have had a lot of disney talk lately :) But it is so far off, I think we will just tell them that "maybe one day..." then when closer tell them.

I am so thrilled to see the star wars stuff at DHS.... My 7 y.o. is a HUGE star wars fan and even my 18 month old got excited over it online LOL!
I can totally see why people love disney, it is thrilling! I am so excited!!!!!

The Hoop-dee-doo review is awesome for a dinner show! All the kids, even the baby- will get a kick out of it! The food is really yummy too.

Check out the pirate cruise children's program for your son. It's a drop-off for 2 hours, they feed him and it's only about $30.00. He'd love it!
